Cracks in Vista Roof!

tonychriste

Found this crack on my vista roof stationary glass panel of my 2015 Ford Edge Sport. It only has 4k miles on it. Went to my Ford dealer 2 days in a row and they took many photos of the crack but determined that there was a point of impact where the crack originated. Translation... Call your auto insurance and see if they will cover the damage.

How many of you Edge owners have a similar experience?

2016 Edge with 2K miles. Glass was fine. Parked the car in an open area. Got back in the car and the vista roof was severely cracked. It looks like stress cracking. There is no impact on the exterior.

My 2015 Edge vista roof cracked for no apparent reason recently, less than 36,000 miles but out of warranty.  Dealer submitted request to Ford to fix.  No reply yet

Same happened to me. I noticed the first crack a few months ago on the back piece and another one formed on the middle piece a few weeks ago and now my windshield is cracking.  Ford dealership pretty much said too bad its not under warranty any more.  It is an obvious defect in the glass. I'm not happy.
