[ALDriver]

Has anyone experienced the automatic lift gate opening when the vehicle is locked up and sitting in the parking lot or the garage? It shuts normally but but the opening seems to have a mind of its own. It is just a matter of time before something is stolen.

I also have an 08 Limited. I have noticed that they have sensors that will open the door up if it has something in that sensor area. I don't know where they are but I have tried to close mine before and it will automatically open up. I would assume if you had an animal back there, that could present a problem. You might just make sure there isn't anything too close to the back. Other than that, mine hasn't opened on its own. Good lunck

Did you have your remote in your pocket by any chance? A couple of weeks ago, I went out & discovered that I had triggered the global opening feature & the roof & front windows were open all night . At first, I thought someone had broken in, but realized what had happened.
