fishx65 Posted May 28, 2012 Report Share Posted May 28, 2012 I've been using Zaino Z-2 for the past 10 years. Awesome product!!!! Extremely easy to apply and lasts longer then anything else I've ever tried. That said, I just picked up some Duragloss 105 to try. Not sure about the durability of the 105 yet but it is much more difficult to apply. Gonna give the 105 to my brother and stick with Z-2. c_bova Posted May 29, 2012 Report Share Posted May 29, 2012 i use meguiar's 21 synthetic wax or blackfire deep crystal spray sealant. the black fire spray sealant is awesome, wipe on and walk away and it lasts for a good while and looks great. I usually out that on and then once buffed in good I will use the Meguiars Ultimate paste wax on top because it will buff out like glass because it has good carnauba in it. fishx65 Posted May 30, 2012 Report Share Posted May 30, 2012 NXT is a decent synthetic product but it does not last very long if you are a frequent washer. If you wax 4-5 times a year, NXT would work just fine. If you only wax once or twice each year or live in a northern climate, I would look into a more durable product. I tested NXT against Z2 many moons ago by doing half the hood of my 2003 F150 with each product just before the Michigan winter. The Z2 outlasted the NXT by a longshot. Both Zaino and Duragloss use the term polish for their wax/sealents even when they contain zero abrasives. The Z-2 Pro does not contain any abrasives so it has no cleaning ability and can be layered. I'm the farthest thing from an expert so maybe someone else can chime in and explain why these companies call there products polishes. cjd3 Posted June 10, 2012 Report Share Posted June 10, 2012 I just finished washing, polishing and waxing my Edge. I've never polished before, so I thought why not now. I can't tell if it helped, but it sure makes my arms stronger. I used the NXT wax, and we'll see how long it lasts. I also applied Rain-X to all the glass. The weather tried to rain on me after I dried the car, so I had to dry it again, but it stayed cloudy most of the afternoon, so nothing got baked on. Over the years, I have used the following: Klasse AIO (All In One) and SG (Sealant Glaze) plus the following items: - Pinnacle Souveran Wax (Highest gloss with darker colored cars) - S100 Wax (Essentially the same as the P21S, but cheaper and can be bought at any Harley store) - P21S Wax I have used Klasse AIO and Autoglym's Resin Sealant and topped that with Pinnacle Souveran on a Black Maxima and that rig was shinier than Darth Vader's helmet....literally. Scorpio Posted November 18, 2012 Report Share Posted November 18, 2012 (edited) I've been using the Zaino system for 10+ years now - I've tried some other products along the way, and no doubt there are some excellent other systems out there, but Z works for me and so I keep going back to it. Some reflection shots of a couple darker colour cars I've owned (Z does seem to work best on dark colours)...
