So i was thinking of driving up to Chicago from Miami an wanted to know if anyone here has gone far enough on the highway to burn up one tank. If so how many are you getting per tank and at what average speed? I cant remember right now how much i had left when i reached orlando from miami.

Thanks!

70mph and a ~330 miles. Gaud I love that adaptive cruise. Detroit where I picked it up to ~50 miles west of Chicago where it lives. 330 mile trip and basically ran it empty ... pulled into my neighborhood gas station and filled up with 19.4 gallons. It holds 19.7 !

I know this is the 3.7 section, but I have the 2013 3.5 Limited AWD, and I'll be going from Asheville NC to Atlanta GA on Saturday and coming back on Monday. I'll be watching it closely...however I only have 500 miles on it, picked it up last Friday.

On my old Edge: I drove from Phoenix (including stops in Tempe and Scottsdale and loaded with 4 people) to Palm Desert, CA on 1 tank (350 miles plus). Reverse trip was 1 tank. Speed was 75-85 mph.

Driving to Sedona from Gilbert burned 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank mostly due to going uphill on I-17, AZ's 75 mph speed limit, and the changes in altitude (Sedona is around 4500 ft above sea level).

On the current Edge: Haven't taken it on the highway (yet)

Since others chimed in, I went from NJ to Myrtly Beach last summer. My Ecoboost was giving me 33 mpg according to the computer at 70 MPH anything over that speed the MPG drop drastically. I averaged 28 MPG for the whole 660 plus mile trip one way. It took two tanks each way. I would have had better overall MPG but driving from NJ to Washington DC there was more stop an go traffic.
