Typically, you only need emergency brake shoes on one corner, so you should be fine buying just 1 set. I don't know how much shipping is out to you, but you can check with our forum sponsor, Levittown Ford, to see what pricing/shipping they can do for you on this kit. I know they ship overseas, just don't know if worldwide. Pretty sure under $100 shipped, but check with them (Benny is our contact). http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10937-employee-pricing-on-all-parts-accessories/

Thanks! Parking Brake Shoe means is located only on one rear wheel? I correctly understand you? ! ! ! Thanks for references!

The paring brake is at both rear wheels behind the rotors, the motorcraft brake shoe kits come with shoes for both sides. It's just like doing a regular brake job on a vehicle with drum brakes, only with tiny shoes and no duo-servo (thank god!!) or wheel cylinders, lol. Don't forget to thoroughly clean and lube the adjusters (I always use nickel anti-seize) and then adjust them properly once everything is together

No problem..... here's a pic of mine (drivers side) since I had the rotors off anyways here today to cut them. The shoes on the Edge look a little different than on some other models, they're just one big "C" ring instead of 2 separate shoes. Pay very close attention to the orientation of the adjuster when you take them out

Thanks a lot for the help. I have not enough information on EDGE, we have it while only increases popularity! ) There isn't a lot of it at us! More precisely, it isn't enough! It new is enough! Therefore I am grateful for any information friends! )

It is important and interesting that on EBAY such rotors are shipped

but there is an additional information:

Compatibility

To confirm that this part fits your vehicle, please choose a vehicle from your My Vehicles list OR enter your vehicle's Year, Make and Model.

My Vehicles

2008 Fords Edge Limited

Manage vehicles

Year Make Model Trim Engine

also there is a message that the goods are suitable for Limited Sport Utility 4-Door 3.5L 3496CC 213Cu. In. V6 GAS DOHC Naturally Aspirated, but whether intesno will be suitable these goods for simple Ford EDGE Limited 3.5? What your judgement friends?

I can't figure out where the wave spring goes and where the coil spring goes. I can see from your picture that the spring is attached to a hole on the bottom right, but I don't know what it attaches to inside the assembly.

Can you email me at skot_in_windsor@hotmail.com , I can send some pictures to explain it better.

Thanks

Scott

Welcome to the community, greenmint. Stop and go driving does take a toll on mpg, but you can try running fuel injector cleaner (Techron & BG 44K recommend) through a couple of tankfuls of gas to help break up any clogs in the fuel system and let the fuel injectors and pump work properly. Change the air filter also (Motorcraft brand recommended). Use the right weight oil, and the right filter. Since you have AWD, you have the 3.5L engine, right? Use Motorcraft brand oil & filter if unsure what to pick from. Then after the FI cleaner has run through the gas tank, start keeping tabs on mileage, see if there's improvement.

Studying a manual, in the specified procedure nothing is told about that how exactly to regulate a parking (emergency) brake, it is only possible to guess it (to rotate clockwise and counterclockwise). I about what - that do not know in a manual?!) On other Ford models it is accurately specified how it to make? Your thoughts? or specify to me, please, this place of the management!)

Did you mean this?

Parking Brake Cable Adjustment

NOTE: Cable tension is adjusted in 2 locations, the first location is at the parking brake control, the second location is at the parking brake cable equalizer. The tension must be adjusted equally at both locations.

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Section 100-02 .
  1. NOTE: The dimension will vary depending on the amount of cable stretch. New cables require cycling the parking brake control 5-10 times to remove the cable slack.

Adjust the parking brake control adjustment nut as shown. large.2003536034_2010FordEdgeParkingBrakeCableAdjustment1_zpshz3qtjme.jpg.680b83a24c4c8bd661fc7442b395c9c4.jpg
  2. Adjust the parking brake cable equalizer adjustment nut as shown. large.841118719_2010FordEdgeParkingBrakeCableAdjustment2_zpszkl8dkih.jpg.d50f751b3d6622ce21093a808287009d.jpg
  3. Fully apply the parking brake pedal 3 times to verify correct operation of the parking brake system.
    • With the parking brake cable in the fully released position, brake drag should not be present.

thanks, but I thought a little of another, namely, there is a wish to understand when to regulate a rope and when to regulate on the brake rotor the toothed screw which is similar to a barrel. My problem is that a sole

rotor already holds poorly and I would like to increase effort of a clip of a boot of a rotor to hold better. The rope as I think is regulated when the course of a pedal of the parking brake is strongly increased. I am mistaken?

p.s.: to t.a interests me in what cases adjustment is carried out by the cogwheel specified on the image by an arrow ,and why nothing is told about it in the user's guide?

Friends, I gather this Saturday, nevertheless

to adjust the parking brake. Also I would like to specify something:

1. I have understood that for adjustment there are two places which are specified on images. (An equalizer on the second image) I have studied the second place. I know its arrangement, it is from below (under car), right after PTU towards the center of the car.

.... but I do not know where there is the first place (on the first image http://i1315.photobucket.com/albums/t597/PerfA_ZN0W/Ford%20Edge/2010%20Ford%20Edge%20Parking%20Brake%20Cable%20Adjustment%201_zpshz3qtjme.jpg ). Somebody can specify in what part to me it to look? At a back wheel or at the brake pedal or where?

2. also I would like to specify surely to use in adjustment at the same time two places of regulation or I can regulate only in one place voluntarily (for example only in the place 1, and not to use for adjustment the place 2). Thanks.

Expert: Tim Mohr replied 5 years ago.
Hi, my name is XXXXX XXXXX is nothing holding the rear rotors on, after the caliper has been removed, now inside the rotors on the back is the emergency brake shoes, and the rotor can hang up on these, that is what the rubber plug is for, remove the plug and rotate the rotor so you can see the star wheel on the ebrake adjuster, then back off the adjuster with a screwdriver, and the rotors will come off,Tim
... where have in detail explained why a wheel with a star , how I understand to hold a back rotor on the place, but I still don't know whether these can only regulate force of pressing of the emergency brake to a rotor or it is necessary to regulate a cable tension?.
also I am interested in a possibility of adjustment by a wheel with a star, it turns out that when an opportunity to twist a wheel with a star ends, I won't be able to regulate more force of a clip of the emergency brake to a rotor and it is necessary to change a block of the emergency brake?
