un-chromed Limited 20" wheel

In the process of having one of my 20" Limited wheels refinished.

I had a damaged wheel off another vehicle, and was successful in removing the chrome cap. One of my customers is in the process currently of refinishing the wheel now - will post pics when completed.

I've taken the route to have the wheel color matched to my Edge - White Platinum Tri-Coat

Here is the wheel with the chrome cap removed:

Ive been waiting to see if someone would do this. A wire wheel on a dremel would remove that adhesive with minimal damage to the wheel. I would use a blade to remove the glue off the spokes. That wheel actually looks nice. Well if my wheels get messed up I know what to do. That is going to look sweet on your edge. Good luck. Post some pictures once they are done.

I pried the cap off with a small pry bar.

The large glue areas were scraped with a razor blade, then the wheel will be sand blasted before being refinished.

I'm only doing the one wheel to start - sort of a PROMO from my wheel company, as they've never done one either...
