CAR and DRIVER review out on 2015 Edge

Recommended Posts

I know I would rather have a normally aspirated engine for longevity and probably my peace of mind. I drive 20K miles a year. I am assuming the EB engines are fine with 87 octane and will deliver full MPG and HP numbers. I cant imagine how much it costs to replace any parts of the EB system?

On the Edge 2.0L EB, the fuel pump was/is one of the main issues. I am sure there are other issues, but rare to hear of any on this forum (yet). Now if we expand the scope of the question to the 3.5L EB in transverse applications (SHO, Flex, Explorer Sport), we find very infrequent (but not rare) cases of leakage from turbo seals, turbo oil lines, fuel injectors, and valve covers.
