AC just stopped working

So no air is blowing out the vents? Any difference putting the controls on HEAT? The blower motor is a common culprit, as is the blower motor resistor/fan speed control.

Do you change the cabin filter regularly (or wash the screen regularly)? If the blower is having trouble, it may be caused by obstructed airflow.

I know you said the Freon is full, but are you sure? When monkeying around with an A/C system on another vehicle that wasn't working, I recharged it and then the compressor and fans turned on, but there was a leak in the system and after the pressure dropped below a pressure switch setting it all stopped again. Sounds like what yours is doing. I used a small refrigerant bottle and those hoses with a gauge on it to see the pressure raise when I was filling it and drop off and I could hear hissing where the leak was. I tried a leak sealer but I guess the leak was too big and it didn't work.

Please let us know what the problem was.

My A/C stopped blowing on a road trip back from Florida over 4th of July week/weekend in Texas. Talk about an unhappy camper. I still haven't taken it in to a shop because all it takes is going over a bump to get it to kick back on again. Sounds like a short to me and I know I should be concerned, but money is an issue so until I have the cash no one please give me a hard time about it. Just my two cents.

WWWPerfA_ZN0W my Edge is a 2008. I am not sure about the climate control question. I utilized the "auto" option often but not always. So it blows when it wants to and doesn't at other times, and trust you me, I wasn't relying on the auto option then cause it was super hot. But like I said, all it takes is maybe closing the door or going over a bump for it to kick back in. I haven't checked the coolant but what would that have to do with the a/c? It hasn't had any overheating issues and the engine is super quiet so I can't say I have ever even noticed the engine fans but I did get the car in June and this is Texas so it had plenty of chance to get hot if it was going to. I also took it to Florida and back over the 4th of July weekend with no issues until the a/c blower stopped temporarily.
