I'm not sure where to post this!

I just tried the heater tonight and their isn't any heat! Feels like AC! 60 tonight.

2013 MKX. Is their something I'm overlooking? I had heat last winter. Where should I start to look?

I have to figure this out! Winter is coming. Don't know anything about this thing yet besides I love it!.....Help!

No heat in any position: PANEL, VENT, DEFROST? Blend door actuators come to mind first, along with a bad HVAC Module or FCIM. I am sure it's not the coolant or a plugged heater core, those would be the normal reasons, but then you should get at least ambient temp air coming out.

Check to see if the HVAC module has set any codes ... Bxxxx:xx format.

How do I do that?

There is no alarms or lights on the dash. Air coming out is colder then the air around me. The radiator hose on the top is hot. It looks like it goes to the thermostat maybe? Then back to the bottom, which is not hot.

All the vents work, floor, panel, defrost. My temp is normal, right in the middle. Antifreeze is at perfect level, no leaks anywhere.

I have read most everything you all have posted here and I don't see anyone talk about heat problems.

You should be able to get codes read for free at a local auto store. Or you can buy an ODB II adapter and Forscan Lite and scan the vehicle yourself on your smartphone/tablet.

The heater hoses are on the firewall side of the engine, they are on a separate "circuit" from the engine cooling circuit.

Heater Core — Plugged

  1. Check to see that the engine coolant is at the correct level.
  1. Start the engine and turn on the heater.
  1. When the engine coolant reaches operating temperature, check the heater core inlet and outlet hoses to see if they are hot.
  1. If the outlet only is not hot:
    • the heater core may have an air pocket.
    • the heater core may be plugged.
  1. If the inlet only is not hot:
    • the thermostat may not be working correctly.

I will check this out.

Both sides, driver & passenger don't have heat?

Correct.

Both heater hoses are Hot!

Does this mean a possible blend door problem? Considering my temp is normal, antifreeze is full, I don't have heat on either side, no codes, runs great, no leaks, It worked last winter, and all vents are the same temp (not hot)? Could it be my thermostat?

I'm lost! Dealer is my last option.

Another option might be to pull Fuses 37 & 46 in the passenger compartment fuse panel (under driverside dash). They are 10A fuses, probably RED in color.

This is just a shot in the dark, try disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes to reset all the modules. See if it helps.

I was just sitting here thinking.

If my heater hose is hot going in and hot coming out then my heater core is good right?

If I don't have heat on either side and have the duel climate control then it can't be my blend door, cause I would have heat on at least one side, right?

My antifreeze is full, fuses are good.

This is starting to sound like the thermostat. Doesn't it?
