Villa Ford in So Cal

Recommended Posts

Just this last weekend, my wife, daughter and I went out to Villa Ford. We'd "shopped" on-line, pretty much knew which vehicle we wanted... a '16 Explorer Sport. I dealt with the Fleet Manager and we were able to do most of the mundane chores associated with buying a new vehicle, via telephone calls and E-Mails.

Anyway, we... I... arrived, expecting to drive away in a beautiful 2016 Explorer Sport. We test drove the Explorer, liked the way it performed and returned to the dealership. The problem was, it was RED, not an obnoxious red, but a nice, deep metallic red... of course, my wife HATED it.

Jim Saenz, the Fleet "guy" said, no problem and had a duplicate Explorer brought out, in Magnetic. The wife and daughter loved it... and, in this one, they discovered the electric, folding rear seats, Hurrah!

So, we walk back into the showroom, on the way to the Fleet Office, when my daughter spies a metallic black, Edge Titanium, parked just off from the very center of the showroom floor. Ooo, ooo oo, she says, grabs my wife by the arm and they both take off. Next thing I know, they're crawling through the Edge, like a couple of 8 year olds, playin' on the "Jungle Gym" at school!

They're opening and closing the rear hatch, all four doors are open and they're pushin' pokin' and pullin', every switch, button and lever they can find. I walk over and can see the glimmer in the wife's eyes... she's in LOVE!

So, being the good husband and father I am, I walk into "Jim's" office, and before I can even say a word, he has the invoices and information on the Edge, pulled up on his computer.

As it turns out, the Edge was driven by the owner's wife, she put on about 5,000 miles and you can imagine, it received the best possible care. The car had never been registered, so we got it as a "New" vehicle, with full warranty and every bell and whistle available.

Even after all the hassle and work we put the folks at Villa Ford through, we were always treated with respect and graciousness. And besides, they gave us a killer deal on the Edge!

The Edge will primarily my wife's car, so we all know how the saying goes... "Happy wife, happy life!" She's very, very happy...

Based on my experience, I'd recommend anyone thinking about buying a new car, to see Jim Saenz at Villa Ford... he's good people.

I just bought my 2016 SEL from Villa Ford. I had a great experience with Tim Hill. Everyone we dealt with there was great and extremely service oriented. They took care of us and it was a generally pleasant experience.

However, I will say I am not a fan of the dealer pre-installed security alarm system that is in every vehicle on their lot. It's spliced into the wiring harness using t-tap connectors, which are not ideal to say the least.
