Hello all!

Glad to join, had a 2006 Freestyle for almost 10 years, so good to us. Nearly bought a 2012 Mercedes ML350 diesel yesterday but ended up with a titanium 2016 with 18000 Kms with the 302a package, just under a year old.

Still learning it and goofing around with it,

My impression of the Sony sound system is quite muddy, not very good with the highs and almost a reverberation on a firm volume. Anybody else noticed this or was I spoiled by the MB for 3 day test drive?

Cheers, Bruce.

Welcome! Agree with you that the sound system is not great. It has decent bass but everything else is muddy as you mentioned. I said in another topic that setting your mids to below zero helps a bit but not much since there aren't many settings. Also try switching between surround and regular stereo to see if you like one or the other more (personal preference I think).

Hi Bruce - I just picked up the same vehicle (used 2016 Titanium) and i'm used to the Fender system in my GTi and did think the Sony was a bit average, however I played around with the bass/middle/treble settings and it got a bit better, still nothing special for a brand-name system though.
