stan1942 Posted March 12, 2017 Report Share Posted March 12, 2017 Anyone else have this problem. When taking off from a stop the transmission stays in low. If I stop, turn off the ign. and restart it's fine. This doesn't happen often. The first time it happened I had it towed to a tranny shop. They said nothing is wrong. macbwt Posted March 12, 2017 Report Share Posted March 12, 2017 The general go to on the 1st gen is the TSS and OSS sensor replacement. Other considerations are if you have not been changing your transmission fluid. The transmission fluid is not a lifetime fluid and at 100K miles it is in need of replacement. The longest I have ever driven transmission fluid is 90K miles and it was shifting slow. New fluid then see if that helps.
