LED Puddle Lights - 2016 Edge Sport

Recommended Posts

These are RECON LED puddle lights I just installed. They come in blue, red, green, and white. Made for F150's, but same part number as the Edge, and probably all Ford models with puddle lights in the side mirrors. They are so much brighter than the factory incandescent bulbs, even in the colored options, so they are a great option for custom accent lighting. Kind of pricey at $80 per set.

roots57. Have you had any issues with those puddle lights as of yet? I like those and want to get them. Have they dimmed or has the color faded?

They still seem to be working just like new from what I can tell. I'm surely glad too, they were insanely expensive for LED's. Unfortunately they are the only company that make color LED puddle lights for the F150 (same ones used in the Edge). If you do get them, hopefully you will have the same luck I have had so far. If these ones do go out on me, I will probably try building my own using the old fixtures, because I'm not spending $80 on another set of these.

I bought some from DayTime BrightLites,LLC the owner is Dan Smith the Lights and Dan both are awesome great service and the lights came and install super easy

I used everyone of Dan’s products on my 13 Edge Limited and loved them. Just swapped my Trax lights from Dan for my blue Recons. Nothing against Dan’s lights I really wanted the blue lights.

Some other company needs to build some colored LED puddles besides RECON so that they are forced to sell them at a more reasonable price, $80 is out of control. They try to make it seem worth it by placing them in a fancy box. Has anyone suggested this to daytime brights?

I sent Dan, the owner of Daytime, a message asking if he has any plans for colored puddle lights. Ive yet to hear back from him.

Dan sent back a response of:

We can make them in blue. Just order the standard color TRAX and then call us at (913) 304-0720 and tell us you want them in blue.

Daytime Bright sells the TRAX puddle lights for $51. Unfortunately I didnt know they would make them in blue before I purchased the Recons.

Damn, I wish I knew about this beforehand also. I would have loved to save $30 on them compared to RECON. Good to know for the future if i need replacements or want a different color. Thanks for checking on this!
