The original oem Sport wheel was a 8.5", with 265/40 tire. You have nothing to worry about if you stick with a 40 aspect ratio tire. With a '35' you will be looking at possible bent rims, plus a bigger gap between your fender/tire unless you lower it.

Im not worried about the gap im going to lower it once i get the tires im more concered about the tire width. The ford dealership told me the 22" sport wheel is 9" with the 265 and my wheel is 8.5" and alot of websites say 8.5" is to narrow for a 265. I wanna see what tire size people are using with a 8.5" wheel on 22's.

READ my post again!

The original oem Sport 22's were 8.5", with 265/40 tires!

The latter ones are 9.0", with 265/40 tires.

I have both these wheel sets, and presently run a 285/40 tire on the 9.0" version.

I would not recommend a '35' on a heavy truck, unless you want to be on a first name basis with your tire dealer!

'35' aspect ratio tires are for lighter sporty CARS like Mustang/Camaro.

I have 345/25/20 tires on the back of my Vette on 13" wheels, everything inside the fenders!
