shark56 Posted June 14, 2017 Report Share Posted June 14, 2017 Hello, I have a 2013 ford edge with 3.7L engine. I need to replace my bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor. Problem is I have no idea where it is and would like to do this repair myself. If anybody could provide some insight on where that sensor might be, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! enigma-2 Posted June 15, 2017 Report Share Posted June 15, 2017 Bank one is the same side as spark plug one (drivers side). Sensor 2 is just aft the catalytic converter (follow the cat back and look for an electrical connector. This YouTube video may help with the how to. shark56 Posted June 18, 2017 Author Report Share Posted June 18, 2017 Thanks for the responses! Ive located the sensor and ready to replace it. Are there any specialty tools needed for this job?. I can slip a combination wrench on it but have to room the move it. Not really any space to work with. Also the electrical connection looks like it will be a pain. autom8r Posted June 20, 2017 Report Share Posted June 20, 2017 Oxygen sensor wrench. I recommend disconnecting the wires before turning. Practice on the Bank2 upper HOS connector (top, radiator side) to get a feeling on how to disconnect. It should be the same connector type used on Bank#1 lower HOS. Use a little penetrant to get the old one to unscrew. Put a little dab of anti-seize on the threads of the new one. Wipe off excess. Don't get any on the sensor.
