Looking for pillar door moulding

Looks like Ford Part number 20554 or 255A34.

It's the driver side front door pillar moulding. Mine was dinged in a parking lot, and looks terrible. I see it every time I open my door.

Not sure which part number this would be since it would be specific to the front door, and driver side. Can anyone help?

It's hard to find even an '08 Edge in the yards around here. There was one '08 in our local yard for a week or so- a base model with no options at all. Haven't seen any other than that. They'll start turning up soon though.

Whats the name of that yard? I might try to contact them.

That Edge is gone now, they only last a month or so before they get crushed. They don't have any there now. You have to pull the parts yourself anyways, so unless you are local it'd do you no good.

Try searching for local junkyards around you. LKQ has a few around here, U-pull-n-pay is the one I go to. Google auto salvage, or used auto parts. Do it with a regular web search, then try going to Google maps and typing it in there. .

Yeah, I've looked. No Edge's to be found around me, which is kinda strange. You'd think at least one from the last 10 years would exist somewhere.

The ones that get wrecked get bought by someone like LKQ who strip it and sell used body parts to body shops for repairs. The sweet spot is about 15 years old when they start showing up in the "U-pull it" type lots. They aren't worth enough at that age to repair when they get wrecked, or the engine blows, or whatever.

If you followed the link I posted above, you will see a form you can fill out with your part request. They then send your request to all the member auto yards (I understand it's considerable) and every yard that has your part will contact you.

You should definitely get a hit.

I just ordered a replacement part. Anyone ever removed and installed a new one of these? Looks like theres a screw that needs to come out to release the long thin trim that runs along the bottom of the window. Hoping not to mess anything up and make things worse.

Finally got around to doing this last night. It was easy. Unscrew the two screws on both sides of the inside of the door for the long trim under the window, pry it out a little bit so you can get to the bottom of the door pillar molding. Pry it off with a flathead screw-driver and be careful not to scratch or dent any part of the door that will be visible. Once I got it pried out enough I used my hands to pull it off to avoid any dents or scratches. The new pillar trim installs easily -- two clips go into the holes and the adhesive tape holds it in place. Make sure all the trim goes back flush against the pillar trim.
