raydog Posted July 21, 2017 Report Share Posted July 21, 2017 Hi all. the majority of my experience has been on German cars. My wife has an 07 Edge and I am currently replacing the front struts. Having done struts before, the mount/bearing has always been easy to rotate around the spring and cartridge assembly. When I removed the existing assembly from her Edge, I found it difficult to rotate the top of the strut. Now I assembled new strut with new mount and find it is also difficult to move, as if it was a friction fit... best way I can describe it. Is this normal for Ford to have the strut rotate this way?
