2007 Side View Mirror

Recommended Posts

Hey all, New to the forum. Currently own 2 Ford Edges. 2010 SEL plus and a 2007 SEL plus. Both bought new.

Recently my son smacked the drivers side mirror on the 2007. He broke the housing but glass, defroster, and puddle light still works. Housing is just cracked. I have wondered for a while now and this is now the opportune time to find an answer.

The 2007 has the heated mirrors, and puddle lights. The mirror is just a flat mirror with the defroster logo on it. The 2010 doesn't have heated mirrors but it does have the *blind spot* mirror in the corner. The shape of the mirrors and glass look like a perfect match. Has anyone changed these out and how did they fit?? The mirror housing is my real concern as the 2010 does not have the puddle light. Was there even an option to have all these options on 1 mirror housing?? What about the attachment of the glass to the housing between 2007 and 2010....are they the same??

Thanx all.

Yes, the glass fits. There was a very long thread on it.

As for the housing, they probably interchange, but you need to check if the wiring is there for the puddle lamps.
