Clear Front Bra?

Has anyone had any experience with the clear vinyl wrap you install on the front of your hood? I'm looking at a few online that are meant to be cut to fit. I'm not sure how comfortable I am with that. Watched a few videos online and they make it look so very easy. I'm sure it is after you've done it 100 times.

I'm not a real big fan of the bug guard, so I'm considering options and wondering if anyone has used something like this and, if so, did you install it yourself? Input on that process?

Thanks!

I've had the hoods, headlamps and front bumpers of my 2011 MKX, 2016 Edge, 2010 MKZ and 2008 F350 done with clear wrap and never regretted it. It never peeled off, chipped or anything else. Also, my pickup truck is white and it never yellowed either. I much prefer this method over having to install a deflector. It's a very good investment if you plan to keep your vehicle looking new for a long time.

I actually am going to try to install it myself - watched a few of the videos online, etc. I bought an 18" piece that will go all the way across the hood, obviously. I've had them installed on other cars I've owned and they did a nice job of protecting the paint. Arrives Thursday - hopefully the installation goes as well as they make it look. :)

Did you buy the PPF knifeless tape also? I know 3M currently makes a bunch different types of knifeless tape based on the application. Because the PPF is thicker than regular vinyl, the PPF knifeless tape has a stronger cut filament material that can slice thru the tough PPF. Good luck!
