2017 Edge Sport Leather-Trimmed Seats

Recommended Posts

Ive been seriously considering purchasing a 2017 Ford Edge Sport, but Im not sold on the leather-trimmed seats with the Miko suede inserts. I hate that its the only option on the Sport; I wish it were the all-leather seats as offered on the Titanium.

Any opinions, reviews, or thoughts from those who own or have owned an Edge Sport with these particular seats?

All responses appreciated! ?

When I test drove the 2017 Sport, I was also surprised to see suede inserts in the leather -- it reminded me of the seats from a 1980 something Ferrari lol. When I sat down in the car, I actually didn't mind them. I didn't slide around when taking an aggressive turn like I do with my Mustang's leather... it keeps you in place and they are also pretty comfortable (no butt hurt lol). If they hold up well, I wouldn't mind them too much.

I think they are comfy seats. The suede looked/felt a bit delicate to hold up for the life of the car, so I thought it was a good idea to add the extended seat protection warranty that is good for 96k miles I believe. Especially a good idea I thought with having a 2yr old. If something happens to the seats, they will either repair or replace under the warranty. My biggest complaint would have to be the lack of lateral bolstering, but its only noticeable when really pushing it thru corners. The heated/cooled features are a huge win for those who hate how hot black leather can get in the summer sun.
