Android Auto???

You have to connect the phone to Sync 3 with a cable, then what you see on the phone will be displayed on Sync. For now it will only work if the phone is connected with a cable via a USB plug. AA will release an update later this year to enable the app via bluetooth connection only.

You can run the Android Auto app on a phone without running it on Sync3. What that gives you is a simplified interface on your phone, similar to what you get on the screen of your car. it is ideally suited to a phone sitting in a mount on your dash.

you can get the sound from navigation and music and phone calls through your car speakers by connecting bluetooth.
