I have a 2013 Edge Limited and it is time for new tires.

The vehicle has the 18 Chrome Clad Wheels
P245/60R18 tires.

I live in the desert and drive mostly in Arizona and California.
85% dry highway/city driving. NO off-road.

I am seeking recommendations for the BEST SMOOTHEST-ride tires I can get. The stock tires have always been a bit rough and noisy.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What part of AZ are you in?

I am running a set of Kumho Crugen KL33s on my Edge.  The biggest bang for the buck is that these tires are V rated and last 60k.  So far, they are settling in nicely

after a bit of a rough start.

I'm running Bridgestone Ecopia's 245/50R-20. Super smooth and very quiet. Replaced my last set in mid 30's to return to full tread for traction. Still had usable life.

Look at the ratings on Tire Rack.

Agree on the Ecopias. Have the 422 Pluss and they are very smooth and quiet. Good in the rain, too!

Ran both the Ecopia and now the Michelin Premier LTX.  Hands down I will go with the Michelin Premier LTX over the bridgestones.  I ran many sets of the Bridgestones.   Michelin Premier has the wet and dry traction that you need.

Never had a Michelin tire I didn’t like.

Never liked paying for them, but in this case you get what you pay for.

I had Yokohama YK540s before the Kumhos and would put them on par with the original Michelin Latitudes.

I was considering the Michelins when I bought the Bridgestone Ecopias. I love Michelins but I could not pass up the deal at Costco on the Bridgestones and I was not disappointed. Michelins were close to $1000 out the door and I got the Bridgestone for $650. That is retirement fund worthy savings for me.
I agree the Michelins are probably best but I could not justify that amount of difference for the minor performance gain. Plus I always seem to get a flat or two along the life of the tires, so I always consider the replacement cost.

So how many miles on the original 5 year old factory tires did you get in Arizona? I would think the heat may shorten the life.
Also what factory tires are you replacing?
A bonus on the ecopias is they are low rolling resistance tires which are supposed to improve gas mileage a bit.

Michelin makes great tires. My only issue is after the firs 19-20K miles. Once the soft rubber wears down they are too noisy for me.  We got about 43k miles out of them. They would have lasted longer. No issues with wet or dry traction.  .  My lady likes them and that's what she wanted on the edge when I gave it to her.

Never had a noise problem on any Michelins that I can remember. I did have noise on the OEM Pirelli Scorpions but I think that was a slipped belt on one tire at 23K miles.

I've also had problems with Michelin's after 20k. They're great when new, but get loud and hard around 19.5 - 21k.

Gave up.on them years ago. I now on my 2nd set of Bridgestones with this MKX and feel its an excellent tire.

Reports of short life on Michelin's in the reviews posted on Amazon, as well.

I made the original post and thought I'd make an update...

I was still running the original tires at 62,000 miles.  They were still outside 3/32" tread and were JUST approaching the need to be replaced.  I didn't note the brand/type of those originals but I'm pretty sure they were Michelins.

Costco was having a sale.  I went with Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alena Plus tires.  Got all four installed for $705.

Had them installed yesterday and am extremely satisfied with the customer service at Costco.

Also, the ride is smooth and quiet.  FINALLY.  Much more comfortable.

Your OEM tire was the Michelin Latitude HP (245/60/18, 104H).

My tires since have not been a 104 load rating but a 105.  The Kumhos are V-rated. The Yokos were H.

I'm also running Dueler's and we'll satisfied with them. Only get slightly noisier as they age, not bad at all. Great price.

It sucks that the 580's replacement isn't in our size.
