are shocks under warranty?

Recommended Posts

I have about 20000 miles on my 2007 Edge. my rear shocks are gone. i can see the marks on the rear tires showing a shock issue. will the dealer replace the shocks and tires under warranty? i do not tow or abuse the Edge. it is my daily driver and 80% of the miles are freeway miles.

let me know.

Highly doubtful - those are normal wear items even at 20,000 miles. But it won't hurt to ask.

How'd it go? :popcorn:

Any update to your situation and did you replace the rear shocks yourself? Here is a post I started unti I found this one:

The dealer stated it was covered under the extended warranty but the warrany company said only struts are, not shocks. I can't believe that the quality is so poor to go bad so soon. I have double the mileage and 20 years old on my Corvette but still have the original shocks.
