WWWPerfA_ZN0W Posted March 25, 2014 Report Share Posted March 25, 2014 The fuel pump whine, which originates from the rear of the vehicle is considered "normal", you are right about that! Luckily, I rarely have to hear that blessed sound, but when I do, i feel like I am being phasered! Best solution IMHO is to put some sound deadening material on the inside of the spare tire cover. If you can get Ford to replace the fuel pump, even better. Almost like they need a resistor in the circuit to dampen stray signals. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
