edge535 Posted February 6, 2011 Report Share Posted February 6, 2011 Hi about 2 weeks ago, I heard a odd sound coming from the front end of my edge. It only happens when I make right turns. The best way to describe this sound to you is say the word "who" but longer "whoooo whooooo whoooo" ok go ahead laugh lol. I haven't hit any big pot holes, or did any reckless driving with my new edge. Currently it has 900 miles on it. I brought it back to the dealer describe whats wrong with it and as you can imagine, they found no problem. I got my car back the same day, drove down the block made a right turn and there it is again. I went back to the dealer before I could say a word, I was offered a tech to come for a ride with me to experience this mystery problem. Sure enough it did it. They kept my car for 4 days trying to find out whats wrong with it. To make a long story short, I got my car back on my way home it started doing it again. i was told that they did a front end alinement and something else that didn't help. Has anyone else experience this problem with their 2011 edge mkx version or previous models. This problem is starting to pushing me to the edge slowly. Very faint, but with radio off and windows down it sounds like it's coming from the driver's side front wheel, but who knows. I am waiting for my first oil change to bring it in and address the BCM double recall and this sound. Let me know if you find anything out. I am going to take my 2011 Ford Edge in next week, and will mention that this is not specific to my car. I only have 3,300 miles on mine. Someone else on the forum had the similar problem and the dealer told him that it was the heat shield and they adjusted it and the noise stopped! Took it to the dealer yesterday and found the sway bar end link loose (right), sub frame bolts loose and bottom suspension bolt loose. GRACE1172 Posted February 12, 2018 Report Share Posted February 12, 2018 My 2011 ford edge limited is making a clicking noise on front right side when i turn right only.(only happens when engine is cold after i drive for a little it goes away).
