How do you remove rear ford emblem?

Does anyone know how the rear ford emblem comes off? do i need to take off the whole interior pannel or half of it? Or can it pop off from the ouside? Any tips are helpful!

I did a Google (debadge, ford emblem) and see that a lot of people talk about everything from

little holes to "gaping" holes.

Looks like you can just pop it off from the outside though.

Almost all modern badges are held on with double sided adhesive foam tape.

The trick to getting them off, is to use fishing line or dental floss, to cut through the foam.

Then remove any excess foam, and then use an adhesive remover like Goo-Gone to get rid of the adhesive residue.

The only unknown factor here is if Ford decided to use alignment holes behind the emblem, but if you are putting on a new emblem that should not be a problem.

I spoke with a few friends of mine and they all echoed what AK said here.

None of them thought you would have to take a panel off.

Also, please post a link or picture of the new one you got, I'm looking for something like that.

Thanks!
