My code number is on a wallet sized card stuck in clear plastic slot, on the back of the black pouch that holds all the owner's manuals. Hamilton Guy Posted July 12, 2013 Report Share Posted July 12, 2013 Bumping this thread because my wife has just bought a used (ex rental) 2013 Edge Limited and the card with the Factory keyless entry code is missing. I see on this thread that, in past years, the code was on a sticker on the fuse box. I have read elswhere that this is no longer true for the 13's. Fiorito Posted July 16, 2013 Report Share Posted July 16, 2013 I finally found my code, in the fuse box area, but you have to be a real contortionist to get at it and view. It was located way up near the top on the right hand side of the panel. It took a few tries to get it to work, I tried it initially via MFT but found it just easier to do on the key pad itself. After removing plastic panel in cargo area and using a retractable little mirror to reach all the way back to the wheel well, I was able to read off one number at a time. They literally don't want you to find that number. This should be a pass the kindness on type thing!! If you trade your car in give them the darn card that has the number! On the 16s a simple engine start/shut off with both fobs, one at a time inside the center console will cause the sync 3 screen to display the factory code. Am I off to the dealer or is there a work around? Its impossible to erase the factory code or ever reprogram the factory code, you can only add codes. If you have myford touch then it's in your setup menu. If you don't and have basic sync, it's up under the dash where your left foot sits when your driving. hofiveo Posted September 26, 2016 Report Share Posted September 26, 2016 On my 2012 Edge Sport I removed the cover that hides the fuse panel by your left foot while in drivers seat. Not so good then, lol, also my 16 Fusion doesn't have a fuse box by my(Drivers) left foot!!! So... Now what??? Maybe the spare tire whell (hole) in the trunk?!?!?! I'm gonna look there next... First, this is a forum forum for the Ford Edge, not Fusion. 2nd, if retrieving the code was very easy, then your vehicle would become easily accessible by anyone who had it for a brief drive. So I went to the Fusion Forum and they don't have a post for this issue... I also understand if it was easy it would be great right now, but not so much when someone else van also changes it... then we would be complaining that it's to easy for others... With that note I know why my car didn't come with its little wallet card... I bought it used after being a rental car... Not something you want renters to access either... Is there any way to retrieve this 5-digit entry code??? in my 2020 Edge, there are instructions for showing the code on the display. i think there may be similar instructions in your owner's guide as well. i seem to recall similar instructions on my '09 and '16. you don't mention your model year.
