I bought these DVD headrests and got them installed.
I have a question about the wiring for the experts out there.
I have tried tapping into several fuses and all of them keep the units on even when the car is off and locked. Can anyone tell me what wire or fuse I can tap into to make the units turn off when the car is off? I have purchased an in-line switch to install so I can kill the power to them and ensure the battery does not die. 9Also to be able to shut them off when the kiddos get out of control lol.) I just need to wait until it arrives to install it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Here is a spot to jot down your initial thoughts of your new 2019 Edge / Edge ST. Look your ride over real well and let us know what you see / think about the "as delivered" condition of your new Edge. If you have an issue please let us know what that is and what it takes to get it corrected. Follow up reports would be nice as well.
Guys, thank you so much for all the replies. Over the past few days I have been more diligent about unlocking as "akirby" noted and it seems better. I guess I was misinformed on how it actually worked. Chalk it up to no reading the manual or just making a bad assumption...
Thanks again all... It's good to have a community like this.
Update 11/16/18: Going into the weekend, I called the dealer to inquire as to the status of my wife's Edge ST. We are not getting it back today (and I suspected as much). However, we are no longer waiting on parts - we are waiting on the technician to finish the job. As I noted earlier, I did request a specific technician, and it would appear he was placed on other jobs while awaiting parts arrivals. Or so I am left to piece together the delay.
I am starting to become a little suspicious at this point that all parts are in (first I have heard that) but still no Edge ST. So I set the dealer's expectations for a Monday delivery. The story "trickles out" a bit at a time, and today I found out that the subframe had to be removed to fix (I believe) the coolant leak with the PTU. The service writer I have been assigned was a little "off his game" for the first time today ("Yeah, it was a big job and yada yada yada").
We shall see how Monday goes. The dealer has been good so far as I said, but now my radar is up and tracking ...
