What brand switch were the duds? - just so that others know what to avoid, although for items like this I'd stick with OEM.

What RPM for the pressures you listed? Is the light on all the time or at idle only?

Are you aware that this is not the Mustang forum? - its specifically for the Ford Edge models. I see that you're in the United Arab Emirates - where did the vehicle come from, what market region?

No crank and multiple warning notices on dashboard
1004ron posted a topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
This morning was the first and only fault ever encountered in my 5+ years of ownership. Got in, foot on brake, in park, and hit the start/Ign button, all dashboard lights came on and the left side of the dashboard scrolled just about every warning, but no crank. Battery is less than a year old, and voltage measured at 12.5v Removed + terminal for a few seconds, put it back and still the same failed to crank. Replaced the batteries in both key fobs, and tried one of the fobs in the center console in the location used when the fob battery is low, and still same no crank. Pulled the battery terminal for about 3 minutes, reconnected and it cranked at usual speed and started. Drove 38 miles to work, parked, tried again and its started perfectly. Google search came up with loads, but most were gibberish. Anyone encountered this - any suggestions on what to check. -

Have you considered any of the suggestions in this thread? -
Looks a lot like the Mustang Mach-E I couldn't live without the rear load capacity of the Edge, which that vehicle doesn't appear to have.

When mine had the exact same symptoms it was it was solved with a new evap purge valve on top of the engine - the error code can be either of the two valves. Have you been using OEM Motocraft parts? What error codes ?
-
In that case it will have an MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor which the ECU uses to determine load instead of the Mass Air Flow sensor. Search for a small device mounted on the intake manifold. The temperature sensor (AIT) is used by the ECU to calculate air density. I don't believe that the AIT or MAP have anything to do with the symptoms you describe - it will take more in-depth diagnostics, and possible temporarily blanking off the Evap System.
-
Thanks Haz Its around this time that most manufactures switched from MAF to MAP. The MAF is a much more fragile device and often damaged when owners attempt cleaning - if an inspection confirms its clean, I don't touch it.

Are you sure this model has an MAF ?

What code reader/app are you using?

AWD disabled - what exactly is overheating - transmission temp monitoring ?
1004ron replied to Rrands1's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
How about adding that to your signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/ Best get the stored error codes read and go from there. There's a temp sensor on the PTU and doubt that there's one on the RDU. -

How about adding that to your signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/ Its likely the temp sensor in the PTU which is still rotating with AWD disabled. Have you been maintaining the PTU - oil change frequency? -
Doubt you're going to hear from the OP any time soon. @Adawg Joined: September 6, 2019 Last visited: January 27, 2023

What price? -
Up until now the only place that has removed my wheels, is my Ford dealership doing tire rotations during "The Works" oil change services. Today when I rotated wheels at home I found signs that the two-piece lug nuts were damaged by the use of an impact wrench, and the 21mm 6-point socket would not go on three of the lug nuts. In addition almost every lug nut recess on my wheels has been chipped badly, obviously also due to the use of a high speed air impact tool. I've heard of Ford recalling some of these two-piece lug nuts, and the warning not to use impact wrenches, ........... so WTF does my Ford Dealership do it? If I'd have needed to use my emergency spare wheel somewhere on the open road, and it was one of the three wheels with bad lug nuts, I'd be stranded because the emergency lug wrench cannot be used on these.

Not sure what to make of this - are you referring to the stud size? I use a 21mm six-sided deep socket and my original style lug nuts are in perfect condition - not long ago Discount Tire installed a tires and unlike my local Ford dealership they did not use an impact wrench to remove or tighten the lug nuts.
