  1. So i started looking for other device mounting options for the Edge. I have installed a panavise InDash mount. however it being on the right of the touchscreen is a bit farther than other vehicles. I found that pro clip, as previously discussed here mounts above the ignition cylinder. I am ready to order that and a vertical extension plate get it out from behind the wiper stalk. Then I found that A-Tach mounts makes one for 2007-2010 and 2015-current. There is a gap in the middle; so I reached out to customer service asking why that was the case. The wrote back with the following. So I guess if you want something other than proclip or Panavise for 2011-14, send them an e-mail and show them there is some interest still.

  3. In case you were wondering, yes a wireless charge cradle this close to the ignition will interfere with PATS on start. I found it best to cradle the phone after starting the engine going forward. I plan to move it a bit higher. Not a problem, more of a PSA.
  4. Thank you. I did not see this option when I checked prior. Perhaps I did not scroll far enough. I have an SEL not sport. Do you think that would be fine?
  5. I have attempted to research this but am coming up empty. Has anyone here tried changing the Order of the Radio inputs with forscan? I would like to move the BT audio a little higher in the list, as it is on the the second "page". I think i may have to accept that the order is static and I should removed Unused inputs. Perhaps removing Sirius radio from the list would help. I found this to remove Sirius, but have not had a chance to change it.     Reorder Radio sources 2014

    I got the net effect I was looking for by removing Sirius from the lineup on the Touch screen,. I almost never use the right cluster screen. I still need to remove it from there. At least this looks better to me. Thanks DaMiFo for stating that the order is fixed.

  8. I have a 2014 Edge and 2008 Mariner with Redundant Radio Steering wheel controls. Both of them function in the same manor and I would like to change this default behavior. Currently, tapping the Previous << and Next >> buttons will scroll through the radio presents in an expected direction. Holding or long-pressing them will seek the radio to previous/next available strong station. I would like to swap the behavior around . This would make SEEK the tap operation and the next-preset operation be the long-press or hold option. I have found few threads talking about this and no threads talking about it here. I have cross-posted to ForScan Forum. I know when I added Steering wheel controls to my Mariner I had to edit the row. My original As-built 727-01-01 0040 D08B E0XX I changed the D to a 9 and the E to a 6 727-01-01 0040 908B 60XX Does anyone else desire this same swap? I find it funny that tap'to-seek is the default function on my 2014 jeep patriot.   10. I know this thread is six years old. However for those coming in from web search, I had the same problem. I solved it with the following: - windows laptop - Latest version of forscan, and a two month extended license trial. - a newly cut copy of an 80-bit key (non integrated remote) from Amazon.com- cost is under $15 - obdlinkmx Bluetooth dongle from Amazon.com - Discontinued now. You can use forscan to program additional ignition keys. I didn't have to erase all, just add.   12. What about Gen 1? I am working on a 2014. Once you use one of four pinch welds to jack up, What's the appropriate place for a jack stand. What do you all use.?
  13. I too am looking for a guidance on jacking and lifting this vehicle. I guess we solved the Jacking point issue. We should Use a cut hockey puck or rubber pinch weld adapter. What are good Jack Stand location, besides, "there are plenty". Many owners have felt confused on where to find a appropriate lift point. I would think some senior member would be nice enough to clear this up with a pinned post on what "their" jack points and jack stand recommendations are.

    Is Dex-Cool the right coolant for a 2013 MY 3.5?

    IS all dexcool compatible? The owners guide for Model Year 2013 and 14 calls for WSS-M97B44-D2 not D. I am also looking for clarification. There are ford documents that state you can Use D2 fluid where D is called for. Nothing states that the reverse is true. I found another document that states D2 is pre- diluted and D (proper) is undiluted. My fear was D2/D compatibility was similar to the old Mercon vs Mercon V issue. Where Mercon V could be used in all applications that Mercon (proper) was called for.   16. I have to troubleshoot the horn on my mothers 2014. According to this it is in the passenger side fender somewhere. What kind of work am I in for just to the check the wiring?

  18. My mother just recently purchased a 2014 Edge from Depaula in Albany. It was very pleasant experience. They even provided two ignition keys.

    Did you find your Tach? If that is a picture of your cluster you may need to take it out of "transport mode"

  21. I am purchasing a 2014 Edge, and I did a TSB search revbase. I found that TSB 14-0175 that might apply. The TSB discusses the ambient lighting exhibiting issues. I checked the buildlist on etis . It doesn't list "ambient lighting". It does list Less Interior Light Group. IS the Interior Light Group the name for ambient lighting?

    40 Bit Key

    I'm trying to get the dealer to sell it with a second key. Thank you for the update. Have you tried Key programming with ForScan, or is that too risky? So these are 80 bit keys. 5912560 5912512 These seem to be the Strattec part numbers listed as compatible with a 2014 Ford Edge that I am in the process of purchasing. Unfortunately it's coming from a Chevy dealer, and I am loosing the battle to have them to include a second key at no extra cost.
  23. We just started the sale on a 2014 Edge with the newer IKT type ignition key. Is this just a normal 40 bit key that has been in use since 2000? I just had a discussion with the sales manager. I told him that the key is cheap enough and i would take even a non IKT.
