  1. I have a 2008 Ford Edge Limited AWD and I have an issue with the sound system. When listening to music sometimes the Bass and Treble just stop working making the music sound awful. I found that turning off the stereo system then turning it back on after a second or two fixes the issue, but this problem occurs very often for me (about 2-3 times on a 3 mile drive). I believe the sound amplifier is the issue but I don't know where to locate the amp or which one I should purchase. Can anyone help with this issue? thanks.
  2. Okay so I asked about a week ago if it was possible to do an aftermarket sub and amp install on a model that didn't include a stock sub (Without SONY). I didn't have many replies, I only assume because it's quite the task to do an install without a factory sub being in place already. But I have done it:

    2014 Limited Aftermarket Speakers/Sub

Just bought a 2014 Limited AWD, and i'm planning to install my Focal Utopia BE speakers/tweeters, and with my two 12'' Rockford T1's that I pulled out of my Maxima just before selling. In my maxima I had an aftermarket head unit, but with the Edge I really like the ford my touch/sync feature. My question is has anyone done a aftermarket system on a edge with the stock My touch head unit? I really don't want to change the head unit, so if it looks like Ill have to I will most likely sell my system. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Hi Everyone, I'm brand-new to the forum (brand-new owner of a 2007 Ford Edge), and I have a question about the factory stereo in my 07 Edge SEL Plus. It's the 6CD changer deck. Can anyone direct me to specifications on this stereo, such as: Type of amplifier (Mosfet?) Type of DAC RMS output/bandwidth Number of outputs Any and all other details available I'm considering replacing the factory stereo with an aftermarket deck, but I'd like to be able to compare specs before purchasing a replacement. I'm also hopeful that a new deck will breathe new life into the factory speakers (as I've seen (heard) happen before), but the specs on the original factory stereo would help me make a better judgement call. Any and all replies are MUCH appreciated! And I apologize if this topic has already been covered; if it has, just point me to the proper post, and I'll get out of here. Thanks in advance! Sincerely, Alan

    Punch PBR300X4

From the album: 2011 Edge Sport AWD

I finally installed the PBR300 to run the D-Pillar and Center channel Infinity Speakers. The much higher wattage and cleaner sounds really adds to the overall mid-high range now.
