  1. The Vista Roof on our '10 Edge has always been slow but its now getting to the point that it is extremely slow for the last 10" of closing. We've had dealer look at the issue each time we had it in for servicing since new (under warranty). Took it back this past week and they still claim that the motors pass all diagnostic and that the roof rails need cleaning and resetting? Asked me if I parked under a tree as they were very dirty (which we don't). Seems odd that this had been done multiple times with little success. Is this a service I can do instead of paying for 2 hours labour at the dealer? I've seen the 3 videos from a gentlemen addressing the 'fail to close' issue but he only speaks to cleaning the grease from the rails and then lubricating, not 'resetting.' Any info would be appreciated as I'd like to get this done next week before it gets really cold! Will snap some pics if that helps. Just tell me what shots would be most helpful.
  2. I have a 2010 Ford Edge that gives me a 5x5 chime every thirty minutes from when I put the key into the ignition. No other indicators come on. Pleasee help on how to fix this problem
  3. This is a step by step video on how to remove and replace a lower control arm on the right (passenger side) of a 2008 Ford Edge with 273,000 miles (third LCA on this side for this Edge). This video will depict a worse case scenario on how to remove the LCA when the bolts break. This can be a DIY as long as you have the tools available. Hope this video helps you learn from my experience. Depending on your shop you would use this job can be between 700 to 1100 dollars. I did it for $130.00 dollars.
  4. Here is the latest MercyGirl Productions video on DIY rear shock removal and installation. Remember to like and subscribe to see more videos. I am always working on the Orange Crush repairing something to keep it on the road and safe to drive.
  5. We have only had our 2010 edge for two weeks. I really do like the car but we live in the country there are a lot of big hills. It seems to struggle going up the hills. Even on a straight a way it doesn't have much power. I was not sure if this is normal for the ford edge being I am used to driving my V8. I didn't really expect this much difference seeing how it does have a tow package. Right from a stop sign or red light it is slow to get to 35. Anybody else have this issue or am I expecting to much from my V6. I mean very powerless. Thanks for your help.

Inexperienced car owner, car won't start?

I had an oil change a few months ago and had no issues. Car consistently starts well and I have had no troubles until now. Interior lights come on. Engine won't turn over. Looked at the engine and noticed a loose wire but by no means understand anything. Could this be the issue? If so, how do I fix it? Attached are pictures of the engine as well as the loose wire. If needed I have a video of the engine attempting to start. Thanks in advance for any help! car 4.mov

Looking for an used 18" OEM rim

Hi folks, I am looking for a used 18" OEM for the 2010 Ford Edge. I need one with the part number(s) 8T431007EA and/or 8T431007FA (18x7.5J ET44). It can be scratched or slightly damaged. background information: Last year I ordered 18" wheels for my 2011 Ford Edge Sport AWD in the U.S. (I am living in Germany). Well, the U.S. Ford customer centre told me, that I got 18" wheels with the part number(s) above which are designed for the 2010 Ford Edge. They don't recommend to use them with the 2011 Ford Edge Sport. :-( In Germany you need to get a official approval to use those wheels on public roads. The German TUEV wants to check the max. load of the rims. I didn't get any information about this from Ford US. I need one additional 18" rim to hand it over to the German TUEV. They will do some tests to measure the max. load of the rim. Of course it will be destroyed. Manny thx for any offer Rene
