Hello . I have a 2013 Sport Awd. i have switched mostly all my lights in the interior and exterior to led. Iāve always wanted fog lights on my edge but unfortunately it only came in the drl. Which are mediocre at best. I was wondering if anybody has installed some fog lights on their vehicles and if so how they wired it. Iām not looking for spotlights or anything like that . Iām looking for something i can switch out the bulbs to some super bright led. Not sure if it makes a lot of sense but the vision i have is definitely a great look. I was thinking i could maybe cut some of the lower grill to install the fogs.

Replacing 2011 Ford Edge Limited HID/D3S Kit w/After Market LED Kit
J-Dizl posted a topic in Accessories & Modifications
Hello, I have a 2011 Ford Edge Limited with the factory HID or D3S lights that have the projector housings. The factory ballasts started going so I purchased an after-market 7K 9012 led kit as I was told it would fit. I'm looking for a wiring schematic for the factory light system and trying to see if the bulb will fit in the factory projector housing. I was told that the projector housing won't take the 9012 bulb but I could find some info online on how to modify it but came up empty. Is this a know issue or am I mis-informed. The aftermarket kit obviously doesn't plug and play but I'd like to try and get these in the projector housings and wired. Would I have to purchase a set of halogen housings from, say, a lower model Edge and then the bulb would fit? I tried searching in the forum but couldn't find any info. I'm surprised unless there's something I'm missing. Any info would be great. New to the site. -
Anyone have luck installing bumper guards on their late model Edge? There appear to be some Chrome bumper guards available for front & rear. However, I'm looking for Powdercoated Black. The Blue (perhaps other colors) Edge Sport has virtually no chrome. I've been going crazy looking. Any ideas? Is it possible to chrome painted or dipped or wrapped? Also, has anyone taken it back to the '90s and installed a bra on their ride? http://m.ebay.com/itm/Colgan-Front-End-Mask-Bra-2-Piecec-Fits-2015-2016-Ford-Edge-Sport-W-Lic-Plate-/172059118379

2014 Edge SEL aftermarket radio & speaker install
RocketNJ posted a topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Hi All, Bought a new 2014 Edge SEL last week and decided to upgrade the Sync MyFord (not touch) to a Pioneer AppRadio 3 7" touch screen. Also upgraded the speakers to Polk Audio DB-571. This interfaces to my iPhone 5s. The App Radio 3 interfaces to iPhone or Android (check Pioneer site for Android models supported) I wanted an install that did not require cutting any factory cabling and would allow reverting back to stock easily. Here is a link to some pictures I took. Sorry quality isn't that good, used my cell phone. http://s446.photobucket.com/user/RocketNJ/library/Edge%20AppRadio%203%20install Here is a list of parts I used. Pioneer App Radio 3 Polk Audio DB-571 speakers (two pair) (came with adapter cables for the Ford harnesses) Metra 99-5829CH Dash kit Axxess AX-FD02 wiring harness Axxess AX-ADBOX2 OEM integration box Axxess ASWC-1 Steering wheel integration module Metra 40-EU10 antenna adapter www.metraonline.com http://axxessinterfaces.com I had the AppRadio 3 from a previous vehicle install Polk Audio speakers were ordered from Crutchfield. Free shipping and they provided the adapter cables to plug into the Ford harnesses. One note here - when plugging in one of the adapters one pin pushed out of the connector. It wasn't seated all the way. I pushed it back in then reconnected to the Ford harness. Double check before installing the speaker! Might save you some time troubleshooting. Notes on doors: (see pictures in link above) Front doors. Two Phillips screws along bottom panel. Bolts under power window switch plate and trim piece above door handle One Phillips screw along front edge of door panel just forward of the vent opening. Then there are some clips that pop out. Start at bottom front of door panel. Back doors Two Phillips screws along bottom edge of door panel Bolt under plastic cap along back edge of door panel Bolt under plastic rectangle under hand grip Dash disassembly notes (Instructions with above kits are good but this will help!) Trim pieces along sides of console pop off (4 clips). Start at rear of trim piece (closest to center console storage) and work your way forward. Console top piece around shifter - Four Torx screws and three clips hold it in.Remove the four Torx screws and then pop up the rear to releae rear clip. slide if backwards until the front clips release. Be careful as there is a wire with an LED that attaches under the shift indicator on bottom of drivers side. Make sure it is in place before reassembly. The rest of the instructions cover disassembly and reassembly. Before installing new dash kit in place, test that everything powers up and follow instructions for the ASWC-1 to set steering wheel controls. This requires accessing the reset button and watching LED on the ASWC-1. When completed with assembly, again remove battery for 1 minute and reconnect to reset everything. Then follow instructions to program the HVAC controls. The voice steering wheel control allows Sync to make and receive phone calls. The volume up & down work with both Sync and aftermarket stereo, depending on which is in use at the time. Default Sync volume after resetting everything is too loud. Use volume down on steering wheel to reduce it. Feel free to contact me for additional info! RocketNJ AT gmail DOT com- 8 replies

Just bought a 2014 Limited AWD, and i'm planning to install my Focal Utopia BE speakers/tweeters, and with my two 12'' Rockford T1's that I pulled out of my Maxima just before selling. In my maxima I had an aftermarket head unit, but with the Edge I really like the ford my touch/sync feature. My question is has anyone done a aftermarket system on a edge with the stock My touch head unit? I really don't want to change the head unit, so if it looks like Ill have to I will most likely sell my system. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Edge owners! Does anyone here have any experience replacing the in console 12v outlet to a 110v outlet? Less about the specifics of wiring and mounting an inverter, that part I can handle. For some reason I cannot get the 12v outlet out of the slot in the console. I am sure I am missing something simple. I even took apart the center console around the shifter to give me more room, breaking the shifter light in the process

So right after I bought my 2012 Edge Limited last year, I replaced the wheels with some aftermarket Lorenzo's from TireRack. Add the tires, TPMS, shipping, it all came out to just over $2000. On top of that, I had to pay the dealer a couple hundred bucks to 'reset' the vehicles computers to handle a bigger wheel size. For reference, these are the wheels I purchased (Machined with black inlays): TireRack Link I was originally going to keep the stock wheels to use in the winter, but after I realized that having a bigger wheel than stock would require dealer services every time I swapped them out, I just opted to sell off the originals and make sure I kept my car nice and clean through the Michigan winter. Big Mistake!!! Not even a year later, and after one winter, the back two wheels are basically ruined. They pitted and corroded. I thought I could 'polish' it out, but as soon as I tried, the clear coat peeled off to reveal the shiny metal underneath. What a waste! So now I am looking at my options. I am sending a message to both Lorenzo and TireRack, but I'm not holding my breathe, Lorenzo specifically says they don't warrant against "Adverse Weather". I could tear them off and powder coat them, I guess? Don't really know how they would take to that? I'm considering replacing them with something else (another $2000 bucks (gulp!). But what would I replace them with? Obviously the machined finish didn't fair so well, would painted wheels do better? I was considering these: TireRack Link #2 I suppose I could keep the crappy Lorenzo's (I'm sorry, but the clear coat job was obviously a joke, I won't ever buy from them again), and use them as the new "Winter Wheel". If new ones are the same size, I won't require dealer service to swap them out. Last note: I take extremely good care of my vehicle. I wash it nearly every week, especially in the winter. Also, my town and immediate area doesn't use salt anymore on the roads (though they still use if for sidewalks). I'm not sure what else I could have done really to prevent this, I think I just got a crappy product. What do you guys think? Thanks for your help...

Remote Start for 2010 Edge (Aftermarket)
sterlinggrayxlt posted a topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
I have the info on OEM and Dealer installed options, but I was curious what the forum's input was on after market installations.... Basically, does anyone know if the aftermarket options will turn your heat/air on automatically and/or heated seats. What I've heard from installers is rather vague and is a "probably" answer but not for certain. Anyone have any examples of their luck? Our local aftermarket place quoted me $299 for the two fobs installed, but I wanted to make sure it'll include the climate control. What's the point of just the engine being turned on. We have a 2010 Limited Edge (no power lifegate)- 1 reply
