    Front emblem removal with pics

Here is how I removed the front emblem on my wifes 2011 Ford Edge SEL. First remove the (2) 10mm screws and 4 clips located on the top of the shroud. Marked with red circles are the things that need to be removed. Then gently pull back the shroud in the direction of the yellow arrows, do not go to far, just enough to get you hand in the hole in the center. You are reaching in and unclipping the three points on the trim piece that actually holds the emblem in place. They are circled in red in the picture below. (You can probay just use a 10mm socket and take the two nuts of the emblem, I didnt try this because it was much easier to just push the tabs down and unclip it) After you have removed the emblem and trim (if thats the way you did it) you simply unbolt the emblem from the trim using a 10mm socket. The rest I am sure you can figure out, to replace just reverse the order of course. Pics below.
  2. 2016 Edge Sport - Just got these delivered today. Had them custom painted to match the Ruby Red on Black theme of my car. I hear the front emblem is a real S.O.B. to remove. Is there anyone who can give me instructions on how to get the front emblem off before I spend $70 on a service manual? Apparently this requires disassembling the bumper cover and grille. I want to do this right the first time. Any advice on putting these on will be greatly appreciated.

    Custom Emblems Needed

Here's my 2016 Edge Sport. Absolutely love this car. I bought it with the 20 inch wheels but ended up replacing them with the 21's after black gloss powder coating, black center caps, black gorilla locking lugs. I'd like to finish the Ruby Red on Black look all around, including all the chrome emblems/logos. Its pretty easy to find the 9" and 5" ford oval emblems in all sorts of custom configurations, but i'm having trouble finding the rear tailgate "EDGE" and "SPORT" logos in black. Any suggestions on getting this done would be greatly appreciated! Anything other than plasti-dip that is. I'm not sold on that plasti-dip stuff, I just feel like it will come off after a month or two, although I've never used it so it may be better than I think. I'm looking for a high end paint option.
