I have a 2008 which I swapped the headlights out for LEDs bulbs. Both low and high beams have been working for over a year now. Over the last few months the passenger low beam started to become sporatic in operation. I used to be able to get it to turn back on by turning the headlights off and then back on. It is now at a point where the headlight does not turn on at all. Driver side and both high beams work fine. I pulled out the DMM and checked the voltage going to the headlight and I am reading about 8.9V; far below the allowed 12V. The driver side is reading 13.5V - nicely charged battery. The low voltage was measured without the headlight in place. Driver side and both high beams have proper voltages. I found that there is a left and right 10A fuse for the low beams. I swapped these and the problem still persists on the passenger side - thus eliminating any corrosion and fuse issue. Any other suggestions? I have a CD for the electrical schematic but, it is from 2011, I cannot seem to get it loaded and all the other references I find on the internet are just money suckers in some form. My next step is to go through the wiring diagram and check where I am loosing voltage and need a decent diagram for tracing.

What is Headlight Function
Sunnyorlando posted a topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Hello... This Edge '17 Edge Sport headlight seem to be missing something. I have the DRL on no prob..However, that same bulb te runs the DRLs is a dual element. What is the other function of this bulb? I cannot figure out what the other element is for. It's not high beam since that works with the outermost LED light. I'm referring to the 2 innermost halogen bulbs - see pic. Also - how does the LED bulb get removed so I can clean the headlight lens from the inside? Its a bit foggy and it could use some cleaning. Thanks -
Hi folks! I don't really post often (or ever?). I usually just scour for ideas and steal people's tips and solutions At this point, though, I'm all out of ideas on how to fix my very first real issue with the car that I prefer to not use the dealer for. I have a 2013 Ford Edge SEL - maybe 4 months ago I installed a 55W HID kit from AbsoluteHID.ca (I am in Canada) and they worked great at first! Since then, my passenger headlight would sometimes flicker only when starting the car (the lights come on as soon as accessory power is on, even with push start it flickers a few times). This only happens while the car is turning to start, but after starting the lights work flawlessly. However, a few days ago the passenger headlight went out and will not turn on no matter what I do. 1. Replaced the HID light bulb, and swapped the ballast/light bulb between driver/passenger sides and the passenger side remains out while the other works on the driver side. 2. Swapped the original light bulb back into the passenger side 3. Tested fuse for left and right headlights inside the driver side fuse box (both are fine) 4. Using a multimeter, checked the headlamp connector (not inside the headlight housing, but the one that also seems to provide power to the orange light on the side of the headlight ...) and confirmed no power to 3 pins of 5 pins (power only for orange light is available, ground is fine). Image listed below of the connector I'm referring to. I did find it odd that the orange light (not even sure what its called.. not the turn signal, but a light on the side that is on only when the lights are on) is attached on the same connector but hey... I'm basically out of ideas and can't find much about which relay to start checking that could be causing this, especially since the relay is likely sitting in front of the two fuses, and is one relay to both headlights - which means both would be out if it was a relay issue. I may be wrong here.. Any thoughts on whether this could be some sort of relay or other fuse that is causing ONLY the passenger side headlight to not see power out of a connector with other lights that are receiving power? My only other thought here is some sort of PCM/SJB issue and sure hoping its not I know the dealer will charge me quite a bit to diagnose and replace those if it is.

2013 Limited - Headlamps stay ON ALL THE TIME
avery300 posted a topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Hello from a new user to the forum. I read through 26 of the 51 topic pages and figured this is probably way off a normal topic for this forum, so I decided to just post. I picked up, what I think is an awesome 2013 Edge Limited, from an insurance salvage auction, as a side project. Everything has progressed well and I am really looking forward to finishing this build, except for the headlamp operation. When I got the vehicle, it came to me without a bumper cover or any lights. The vehicle took a hit in the driver side front corner. The issue I am experiencing is when I connect the battery, the headlamps come on, stay on, and won't go off. What I found is they were being powered from F57 & F78 (Battery Junction Box). I pulled Fuses F57 & F78 and the headlamps fail to light by cycling the headlamp switch. I confirmed battery voltage on Pin 2, which I thought would light the headlamp, however the headlamp failed to light. I replaced the Front Lighting Control Module to ensure I was , and found all other lights worked as expected. I would like to understand the operation of the HID Headlamp diagram. If there is battery voltage through F57 & F78 at all times, what causes the headlamps to go out and back on? Since I had to purchase HID Headlamp Assemblies (used), Ballasts (new-OSRAM 10R-034663), and Bulbs (new), I do not have any previous experience with this vehicle and not sure if my problem is within the headlamp assembly and maybe ballast wiring? Any help would be much appreciated. If additional information is needed, please let me know. Thank you, Rich- 3 replies

2016 Edge SEL Headlight bulb replacement with LED
jackramsey posted a topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Wife got a 2016 Lincoln MKX Premier, and I got a 2016 Edge SEL last month and really happy from driving an 2002 Explorer for 18 years. Got into my wife's Lincoln for the first time last night and BLOWN away by the diference with her HID headlights compared to my halogens with 36K miles. Started researching and settled on "SEALIGHT H11/H9 Low Beam 9005/HB3 High Beam LED Headlight Bulbs Combo. LOTS of various info out there and hard to "sort through it all" but VERY happy with the results. I purchased the H11-9005 S2 kit and was pleasantly suprised that the output was as good as my wife's 2016 Lincoln MKX with Factory HID. Low beam LED alignment perfect 90 degree. Exceptional product. Great replacement for 2016 Ford Edge -
Suggestions/Opinions - 2011-2014 Edge Headlight Lighting
zayg1994 posted a topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Hey there! My 2011 Edge Limited came with factory installed HID lighting with D3S bulbs. As many have noticed, the light output and color temperature is really lacking. I believe its 4300K. What do you recommend? Get an aftermarket HID kit or just purchase a replacement D3S bulb at 5000K or 6000K?- 10 replies

Passenger Side Headlamp Assembly - Ford OEM - New in box - 2007-10
Ron Clark posted a topic in Classifieds
I have for sale a brand new in box Ford oem headlamp assembly for all 07-10 Ford Edges (SE, SEL, SEL Plus, & Limited) except the Sport Model (which has a smoked lamp with black trim). This assembly is brand new and has not been opened. I bought it to replace the the passenger headlamp on my 2010 Ford Edge because it had condensation inside the lense and was oxidized. Shortly after I bought it, I traded the vehicle. The photo is of the sticker on the actual box that I currently own. Because I did not want to open the box, I am providing a stock photo of what the headlamp assembly looks like. SOLD!!! -
I have a 2010 SEL with stock headlight assembly. Looking at doing a HID conversion and wondering if I can get away with the stock assembly or do I need to buy projectors? Also seeing a lot out there on the new LED headlights; should i be looking into these instead? Thanks!

headlight headlamp out on 2007 MKX
James Patrick Golden posted a topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
New to the site and most definitely a neophyte when it comes to auto electronics. After replacing the drivers side headlamp assembly 6 mos ago ($700), come out today to find the same lamp out. R) side still works. Seems that it is on a differnt fuse. My local service guy thinks it may be the SJB. Dealer no longer carries the part so aftermarket then. ($450 parts and labor) My question is: Can this be bypassed? pros/cons Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide. JG -
2015 Edge front turn signal replacement
joedrum71 posted a topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Picked up our 2015 Edge SEL 2 weeks ago (FIRST Ford ever in my garage). My wife loves it. Of course, I sold my toy so now I have a new Edge to play with. I want to put LED bulbs in the front turn signals and am wondering what the easiest procedure is to getting them out. I started taking the two 10mm bolts out on top, along with the plastic guide pin, but I stopped after I had them out because I couldn't figure out how to get the assembly out. Anyone have any advice for me? Thanks!- 20 replies

2007-10 Ford Edge Projector Headlights with LED Halo and Accent strip Black
Matt Mosakowski posted a topic in Classifieds
I have a set of gently used projector Headlights from Spec-D Tuning that fit all 2007-10 Ford Edge. They are the matte black finish inside not glossy black. Everything is in working order. Lens is not scratched. I am looking for $200 or best offer. I can ship to where ever you like. Or local pick up in Kansas City. Don't hesitate to ask questions. Thanks, Matt -
The video pretty much tells the story. $3,300.00 in damage. The insurance company will fix it!! I was surprised since it has 271,000 miles on it. The body shop stated that the damages according to their records only amounted to 30 percent of the value of the vehicle. These guys must run on a different set of papers than the car dealer as they say my car is only worth 2k for trade. LOL

Headlight Amber Reflector Removal/Replacement
picturemerollin posted a topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
I was wondering if anyone know if someone makes a direct replacement headlight unit with the amber reflector removed or modified to clear/smoke? I scoured the forums and Google search and came up with nothing except the two pictures attached. It's exactly what I'm looking for, but the sites they were on gave no indication if these were for sale somewhere or a possible DIY modification. Any help would be great, thanks! UPDATE: Not sure how I missed this, but here is the page where they are being sold in China, unfortunately for an extremely high price that only includes an HID kit with it. Have any DIYers just removed or replaced just the amber section in the housing? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-SUV-2011-Ford-Edge-headlight-6000-4300K-hid-bulb-CCFL-angel-eyes-optional-ballast/730537055.html -
