so this is my first post. I want to install my old 20some inches LED on my Edge SEL 2018. finding a location for the switch is quite a project since I want it to look as much as possible OEM. I installed the LED bar on a License Plate Mount I prior purchased on Amazon for 40 some dollars. now, I need to install the switch. I had 3 options but rapidly discarded the setup in the center console since it's too much work to make it look good. Now, I have the options of either on the fuse panel with a quick disconnect on the back or next to the light switch. on the fuse panel, it's easy and can be done quickly but my first option would be next to the switch panel. anyone can tll me how to remove the switch panel ? i felt a clip on the right side of it but I cannot find one on the other side. sorry for the pic, i can only upload 1 pic at the time per post so i chose the one with the location next to the light switch! thanks for your help!

Cargo area with no light, lamp or LED?
clefranc posted a topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Hi, Am I missing something or there is no lights in the cargo area? I mean, I just bought an Edge 2017, I was looking for some stuff in the cargo area tonight, and was feeling stupid not finding how to switch lights on. There's a button on the top console, but only for the driver and passengers lights. Christian -

Fog light bezel removal and refinish
Maus posted a topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Hi everyone, Just competed a small job of refinishing my 2007 Edge fog light bezels. They got really worn after over 130,000 km, and I decided to give them a new look. I found very little information about how to remove the bezels, so I had to work it out myself. So here is a very simple way to snap out the bezels with no tools at all: I took the picture after I replaced the refinished bezel, so it's black, not chrome. Note the yellow circles in the picture above - they mark the places where two protruding tabs on the back of the bezel hold it in place. There are no such tabs on the opposite side of the bezel. Now all you need to remove the bezel is strong fingers. Press on the bumper as show by the red arrow. You'll have to press very hard. No worries - bumper plastic is rigid though flexible, there's no chance of breaking it this way. If you press really hard, you'll make the gap wide enough to grab the edge of the bezel (marked green on the picture) with your bare fingers. Be careful not to release the pressure until you pry out the bezel or withdraw the fingers from the gap, or it'll squeeze really hard. Having grabbed the edge of the bezel, just jerk that side out towards you, and you're done. Here's a closeup of how it looked before: And here's how it looks now: Refinish was very simple: just light sanding with dremel to smooth out the dents, washing and cleaning the surface, then applying 4 coats of black plasti dip. -
I just noticed that the gear shift indicator on the center console does NOT indicate which position is selected. Is that normal? All positions are illuminated white, I thaught that the selected position would be orange. Is that normal?
