  1. First post, but hopefully a useful one. This was a PITA to get out of Ford. I needed this info for installing a LOC behind the radio for the addition of an aftermarket sub. They gave me the diagram, but I discovered there's a typo. In the tech service document it shows the FRONT LEFT - as being Green/Brown, but that's incorrect. FRONT RIGHT - is Green/Brown. The actual FRONT LEFT - is Gray/Brown. Below are all the color combos as well as pin locations on the attaching wire harness. It's a 24 pin connector with numbers on the back of connector. 2020 Ford Edge, 6 speaker Left + (22) Blue Left - (10) Gray/Brown Right + (23) Yellow/Orange Right - (11) Green/Brown +12v Constant (1) White/Brown Ground (13) Black/Gray
  2. I have a 2008 Ford Edge Limited AWD and I have an issue with the sound system. When listening to music sometimes the Bass and Treble just stop working making the music sound awful. I found that turning off the stereo system then turning it back on after a second or two fixes the issue, but this problem occurs very often for me (about 2-3 times on a 3 mile drive). I believe the sound amplifier is the issue but I don't know where to locate the amp or which one I should purchase. Can anyone help with this issue? thanks.
  3. Been a while since I've been on this forum, but I wanted to share my latest project I've been working on for a while. Factory system was OK when I bought the car but always knew I wanted to upgrade at some point. Sounds great! My wife, which could care less, even commented on the sound! Infinity Reference 6832cf in all four doors (tweeter swivels upward) Audiocontrol LC7i processor (Acubass is incredible) Blaupunkt AMP1504 4-channel amp (150W x 4 RMS) and Kicker Hideaway subwoofer under the "40" seat (not looking for a window rattler, but surprisingly puts out a lot of bass) The LC7i makes the sub perform so much better and the sound is so much more full. Collected components over the years and bought when I could get a really good deal so only have about $500 in the entire system, including cables and wiring. It was important to me that the car looked stock so I wanted everything to be hidden with minimal modifications. I am even surprised at the improved sound. Well worth your time if you care about the music in your car.
  4. Hi All, We purchased a 2009 Ford Edge almost three years ago which had an aftermarket touch screen system installed (see image attache). This offered AM/FM radio, CD, iPod capability, bluetooth, and DVD amongst other features. Just recently, the touch screen stop responding and the different options are only able to be changed via the steering wheel media button. But we cannot change radio stations, set favorites, change the time, etc. Does anyone know if there is a way to troubleshoot a touch screen responding issue or is there a fix to this?? Thanks in advance!
  5. From the album: 2016 Ford Edge - Subwoofer / Amp / Speaker Install

Factory cargo mat modified for subwoofer opening. Subwoofer appears off-center in photo because woofer is recessed a few inches below..

  6. Hi there, I am new to the Forum. I am from germany and just bought an 07 SEL Edge. It just came with the stock Radio, no GPS or touchscreen. I want to install a double DIN Radio with touchscreen and if possible GPS, like for example the Pioneer AVHX2700BS Is it just plug and play or is it hard to install it? Its very hard to find any information about that. Please help an unknown german. Thanks
  7. Hey all, I have a 2007 Edge SEL Plus that I have installed a Pioneer DVD player in the dash. The radio performance has been sub-par, especially on medium distant staions that the stock stereo, and every other stereo I've installed, have no problems picking up. The ONLY installation difference is the antenna adapter that was needed because Ford likes the mini antenna plugs. I want to look at the inexpensive fixes first, so, does anyone know the correct adapter to use? My research brings up a Dodge adapter... that doesn't sound right. I can't return the stereo because 1) I purchased it out of town and it took a while until I got to install it, and 2) I DON'T WANNA!!!! I have had multiple Pioneer units in the past, and radio reception has NEVER been an issue. Thanks in advance for any help!! Gary W.
  8. Can anyone help me understand why my 2010 Ford Edge Limited's factory subwoofer makes a thumping noise even when the car is off and the ignition key is out? I'm the original owner. It's the strangest thing. It's happened several times. I'm just cleaning out the car or putting something in the trunk and I'll hear a thump noise. Took me awhile to figure out it was the subwoofer. Put my hand on it and every minute or so it just "thumps". Can't figure out what's causing it. Maybe some sort of radio signal interference? Or some audio module in the car going bad? Any ideas out there, or has anyone else had this problem and solved it?

    2014 Limited Aftermarket Speakers/Sub

Just bought a 2014 Limited AWD, and i'm planning to install my Focal Utopia BE speakers/tweeters, and with my two 12'' Rockford T1's that I pulled out of my Maxima just before selling. In my maxima I had an aftermarket head unit, but with the Edge I really like the ford my touch/sync feature. My question is has anyone done a aftermarket system on a edge with the stock My touch head unit? I really don't want to change the head unit, so if it looks like Ill have to I will most likely sell my system. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  10. I recently had a Pioneer AVH-X8500BHS installed in my 2009 Edge using the PAC MS-FRD1 harness and Chrysler Antenna. Following this my AM is almost complete static and FM is a bit spotty. I'm trying to figure out what would cause this and how to correct it. Unfortunately the install guy seems kind of bothered that I expect everything to work as it's supposed to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  11. Hello I have a 2007 Edge Limited. I am looking to replace my factory stereo with an after market that is compatible with the factory steering wheel controls as well as the aux input that is in the center console. Does anyone know of any that would work for this? I appreciate any help.
  12. Hey everybody I just got a used 2008 Edge and the for some reason I can't get any low end to come out of the speakers and the subwoofer doesn't work even when I adjust it? Does anyone have any suggestions??
  13. Hi Everyone, I'm brand-new to the forum (brand-new owner of a 2007 Ford Edge), and I have a question about the factory stereo in my 07 Edge SEL Plus. It's the 6CD changer deck. Can anyone direct me to specifications on this stereo, such as: Type of amplifier (Mosfet?) Type of DAC RMS output/bandwidth Number of outputs Any and all other details available I'm considering replacing the factory stereo with an aftermarket deck, but I'd like to be able to compare specs before purchasing a replacement. I'm also hopeful that a new deck will breathe new life into the factory speakers (as I've seen (heard) happen before), but the specs on the original factory stereo would help me make a better judgement call. Any and all replies are MUCH appreciated! And I apologize if this topic has already been covered; if it has, just point me to the proper post, and I'll get out of here. Thanks in advance! Sincerely, Alan
  14. Hey all. So I've got a 2007 SEL+ (limited) with the upgraded stereo (sub 6 disc changer) and having problems with the CD changer. Specifically, I cannot eject the one disc that's in there. When I press eject, the stereo says "moving to disc 1" makes some noise like it's trying to move the magazine to the right slot then stops. It makes this noise about 4 times with a pause inbetween each and finally says "CD read error". Has anyone else had this problem? Is my CD changer pooched? Can anyone point me to a write up of how to remove the stereo? Thanks in advance. Edgely.
