  1. Hi all. First post here. I've searched this forum and others for some information but could not find exactly what I need, so decided to join and ask. May or may not be relevant: both me and the vehicle are Canadian. Dealing with a 2016 Edge (Titanium) with the 2.0 engine. Have received the P2112 trouble code a couple of times and think we have it narrowed down to a faulty ETB (electronic throttle body). I have found a lot of info, videos, TSBs, etc. but they primarily deal with the 3.5 and 3.7 litre engines. Regardless, since Ford seems to have a huge issue with the ETBs in a lot of vehicles in their lineup, I decided to replace it myself. TSB 16-0139 specifies that for the 2016 Edge with 2.0 ETB part number DS7Z-9E926-D should be used, but when I ask my local Ford dealer about that part number, they do not list it for this vehicle, but it would be appropriate if it had the 2.7. Their listing calls for a DS7Z-9E926-C. The -D part is about $155 CDN and is in stock; the -C part is over $500 and a couple of days away. Rock Auto has the -D listed for about $74 CDN (but it's not listed if you look it up by year/make/model). They don't list the -C Ford part, but they list aftermarket parts that cross reference from the -C for much less than the $500 Ford part. To further confuse things, the RA lookup under Y/M/M offers Motorcraft TB37 as an option for $266. What is the "long" Ford part number that equates to Motorcraft TB37? Has anyone replaced their ETB on a 2016 Edge 2.0? What part number did you use, and was it successful? Thanks in advance.
  2. I have a 2015 Edge Sport with Eco Boost/Twin Turbo motor and started experience low RPM (~400-500 RPM) when idling in park and while in drive at a stop. The check engine light illuminated and I had the code checked. It was a P0506 code. I am now ~$1,000.00 into fixing this and after having the throttle body and motor assembly replaced am still experiencing the symptoms and the code is back. I am not sure if this motor has an idle air control valve. One of the auto repair shops I took it to suggested I take it to a Ford dealer (which I did and who said the throttle body needed to be replaced) but suggested that the catalytic converter may be clogged or the turbo charger may be bad. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so do you have any advice?

    Throttle Body Service or Failure

I was at the dealer for other work and was chatting with the mechanic about anything they see coming in on the 2013 Edge with 3.5L V6. He said that one thing they see a LOT of is dirty or failed Throttle Body. That they recommend having it cleaned every 15-20K miles. For $65 no less. So, I googled around for an hour or so and came up with NOTHING on this issue. Is this another "dealer service scam" or is this a REAL problem? He described it as causing the car to stall and, if bad enough, to not run at all. He also said that there was a "national shortage" of replacement throttle bodies due to the problem. You'd think that would show up somewhere if it were happening with such regularity. Anyone familiar with this issue or have this problem??

    Replace Throttle Body

Hello, I'm the owner of a 2011 Ford Edge SEL with the 3.5L V6. Just had to replace the throttle body at 38,800 miles. The vehicle lost power, would not accelerate and the yellow wrench appeared on the instrument panel. Only way to correct problem was to restart engine. Anyone else have this issue. I'm disappointed with this type of failure at such low mileage (and of course after warranty expired) Cost was close to $600. Thank you.
