Just purchased a 2011 Ford Edge Sport. Unfortunately, due to the age of the vehicle Ford is no longer honoring the recall for the APIM. I am wanting to purchase a "new" APIM. I want the most recent revision of the APIM that Ford has released. Details of my vehicle. 2011 Sport FWD with heated seats, Sony, HD, Sirius, dual zone, ambient lighting, back up camera, and a Nav APIM. Thanks, Scott

I have a 2014 edge with MyFordTouch, Sync2 v3.10. In the settings > vehicle > door locks screen I deleted the factory code, why, well ‘cuz I had a brain fart the code still exists in the BCM and I can use it to unlock the door but I can’t add any new code using MyFordTouch because you have to enter the factory code first. Anyone know how I can get the factory code back into the MyFordTouch system?

I've been having this problem for the past couple weeks, where the navigation will jump around constantly while driving. It happens every minute or so where the location jumps off the current path about 500 metres away and then back to where I actually am driving. It is very distracting to see it change on both the MFT 8" screen and 4" screen when navigation is selected. Is there anything that can be done or has anyone else experienced this issue? I have a 2011 Ford Edge SEL, running version 3.8 of MFT (this is my only issue as of late with the system) Thanks!

Anyone else have this happen? Recently had my 2013 Edge Limited in for the 3rd time to try and resolve an ambient lighting issue. They replaced the APIM, which did not solve the ambient lighting issue and now my dash does this when I receive a text message. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Also, along with this issue the easy exit seat no longers works. Supposedly after the APIM was replaced they "tested" everything and it was fine.

FYI, some of us have had ongoing problems with the MyFordTouch system, myself included. Problems with Ford MyFordTouch®, MyLincolnTouch® and Sync® Systems – Class Action Investigation http://www.chimicles.com/problems-with-fords-myfordtouch-mylincolntouch-and-sync-systems "On July 2, 2013, Chimicles & Tikellis filed a class action lawsuit against Ford in the Northern District of California on behalf of owners and lessees of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles with Sync®, MyFordTouch® and MyLincolnTouch® infotainment systems. The complaint alleges that these vehicles (including the C-Max, Escape, Edge, Explorer, Focus, Fusion, Taurus, Flex, Fiesta, F-150, Mustang, Navigator, Milan, Mountaineer, Mariner and Lincoln MKX, MKZ, MKS models) may suffer from a design defect in which the Sync®, MyFordTouch® and MyLincolnTouch® systems fail to operate as designed, including but not limited to, back-up camera freeze, unintended system restarts, system freezes, Bluetooth and phone issues, inoperable navigation, random features turning on and off including the audio and HVAC systems. Some owners and lessees may have been required to undergo costly repairs of these electronic systems or would simply not have paid the upgraded cost for such option had they be advised of the potential design defect at the time of purchase. If you have experienced problems with the MyFordTouch® or MyLincolnTouch® infotainment system in your Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle, please use the “Email us about this Case” button to contact the following attorneys."

A lot of people probably passed on the $795 option of adding GPS to their myfordtouch equipped vehicle. Maybe you're buying second hand and didn't have the option? Many have inquired only to find out that you can't just add nav card and have navigation on your MFT screen. Now finally someone is trying to fill that void. Take a look at www.mocar.us They have a great video to watch too.
