  1. I have a 2008 Ford Edge Limited AWD and I have an issue with the sound system. When listening to music sometimes the Bass and Treble just stop working making the music sound awful. I found that turning off the stereo system then turning it back on after a second or two fixes the issue, but this problem occurs very often for me (about 2-3 times on a 3 mile drive). I believe the sound amplifier is the issue but I don't know where to locate the amp or which one I should purchase. Can anyone help with this issue? thanks.
  2. Moving this to backup camera etc related forum
  3. 1. Backup camera on SE model works but no beeping sound when there are objects right behind the car. Please help.
  4. Looking for some info and help, bought a 2013 Ford Edge and theres no sound and my power lock and unlock don’t work. More details, there is no sound at all from my radio, when I turn the knob or use my steering volume control nothing happens and the volume increase or decrease don’t even pop up on my screen. I can change stations on screen but no sound what so ever. Already did and update on it and master reset disconnected battery for 30min and nothing. Also my power locks don’t work with my control or from the buttons inside my car. Can only unlock with key manually. If anyone has experienced this before I would appreciate the help.
  5. Hi Everyone, I'm brand-new to the forum (brand-new owner of a 2007 Ford Edge), and I have a question about the factory stereo in my 07 Edge SEL Plus. It's the 6CD changer deck. Can anyone direct me to specifications on this stereo, such as: Type of amplifier (Mosfet?) Type of DAC RMS output/bandwidth Number of outputs Any and all other details available I'm considering replacing the factory stereo with an aftermarket deck, but I'd like to be able to compare specs before purchasing a replacement. I'm also hopeful that a new deck will breathe new life into the factory speakers (as I've seen (heard) happen before), but the specs on the original factory stereo would help me make a better judgement call. Any and all replies are MUCH appreciated! And I apologize if this topic has already been covered; if it has, just point me to the proper post, and I'll get out of here. Thanks in advance! Sincerely, Alan
  6. I have a 2008 Ford edge with every option except Navigation. All I wanted was a screen so I decided to start looking into it when I came across a nav from a 08 mkx so after talking to the 80 year old man at the ford dealership he said its the same unit the only difference is, is it says thx or lincoln and the colors are different. With that being said I purchased the nav screen and installed it in my edge everything seemed to work until the radio started and then I realized the volume control wouldn't work on the unit itself or on the steering wheel and the sound only was coming out of my front speakers. After trying everything I just gave up and thought it had to do something with the programing part along with my sync stuff. Everything else works though, my navigation, sirius even my music through bluetooth. So I took it to my dealership for programming and the old man told me that he is not authorized to program the radio and he said it sounds like its broke, so I would just have to try to program it myself and see if it works. So my question is this... Is it possible to have this nav programmed to have these items work even my rear sound or does it sound like its a problem with the nav unit? And if it isn't a problem with the unit how can I fix this to work properly? Thanks
