  1. Hello everyone. I have been looking to install a trailer hitch on my wife's 2007 Ford Edge. The issue is NOT hitch related by wiring harness related. When I'm under the back of the Edge, I can look up and see a factory connector sitting just behind the rear bumper cover. It "looks like" it is a connection point for a trailer wiring harness. If it is what I think it is, I cannot understand why different tow hitch receiver company's are selling a wiring harness kit that DOES NOT interface with this connector... their harness' connect to the tail light lense connectors. My wiring schematics even show a trailer connector located behind the rear bumper cover so I'm at a loss on how to approach this... I don't want to purchase something I don't need, when all I REALLY NEED is a simple 1 leg harness that would connect to my factory connection. Does anyone have any experience with what I'm speaking of here? Thanks in advance for any tips towards figuring this out.
  2. There is an unused electrical connector on my 2013 Ford Edge SE and I'm hoping it is some kind of connector for trailer plug. It is in the cargo area on the passenger side behind all the plastic sort of behind the tail light.
