    Transmission trouble?

    Dr Fildo posted a topic in 2008 Edge & MKX

    The trans in my 2008 AWD has been chattering or clunking going at a slower speed, maybe around 40 mph as it tries to upshift. If I press the pedal down hard - no more problem. So last night as I was beginning to go forward after a traffic light turned green, the engine reved very high and the car was sluggish to get moving - almost like the trans was slipping - but once I reached about 30 mph, it operated normally. But started very slowly every time I had to stop. The little wrench indicator was too. This morning... car ran fine. No service light. What is going on?? I read on this forum about a OSS(?) sensor in the trans that has a reputation for going bad, but my symptoms don't sound exactly the same. How can I read the codes?
