I’m wondering if anyone has replaced the turbo on the 2.0l ecoboost themselves? I ordered the turbo and have the Ford workshop manual already. I watched several YouTube videos on replacing the turbo on an Explorer. Once they disconnected everything, they removed the turbo by pulling it up, after removing a shock tower brace. It doesn’t look like there is a way to get the turbo out the top on the Edge. After looking around underneath, I question how to get it out from below. Before I start taking this apart, just curious how to get the turbo out? The workshop manual doesn’t actually say how to get the turbo out of the engine bay. Any info, links, or help would be appreciated.

Few issues: Brake Booster, Whine noise, Loss of Evap Pressure.
EdgeOn posted a topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty
My Ford Edge was built in March 2011 and it's been 10 years and 2 months when the brake booster went out, whereas the brake booster warranty is for 10 years. Ford won't help. I called customer service. Additionally, ever since picking up my Edge from Mark Thomas Ford dealership repair shop for having both catalytic converters and spark plugs replaced, my Edge makes a high pitch whining noise like a turbo would, when exceeding roughly 3k RPMs. Doesn't make the noise when revving it while in park. Some say it could be the main crank bearing, some say other bearings such as water pump or alternator or ac compressor. My thought was transmission. Who knows!? Could "Large Leak Evap Emission" code related? Code P0455 135K miles.- 1 reply

Got rid of the corrosive orange and went with the Peak 10X. Why? Because Ford put out documentation to flush it out and replace it with yellow.

Need guidence with Turbocharger Bypass Sensor So I had this check engine code P0299 diagnosed by Ford Dealership. They determined that CODE P0299 TURBO CHANGER BYPASS SENSOR/ SOLENOID INTERMITTENTLY NOT WORKING ( PART BB5Z-9F479-A) and need to be replaced. I was wondering if anyone knows the location of this sensor. As i have ordered the part and wanted to replace it myself. Its for a 2012 Ford Edge 2.0L Ecoboost. Thanks

Ford Procal - factory tunes, 50 state legal, keep your warranty?
foghelmut posted a topic in EcoBoost Mod & Tech
Has anyone done this with an Edge? I don't see it specifically listed but its the same motor. https://performanceparts.ford.com/procal/ Ford delivered tunes that will not void warranty and are legal in all states. I think the device is about $600
