  1. 2016 SEL with leather seats: I know it is horrible for leather seats to get products designed for vinyl and plastic due to drying and cracking and I am wondering if my dash and arm rest panels on the door are leather or synthetic. I want to use the proper cleaner on them to extend their life as much as possible. the dash and door panel coverings are softer than plastic but im not sure if the leather conditioner is a good choice or if I should get a different product for these parts of my interior. TL;DR- what material are the dash and armrest panels on the door made of?
  2. looking for any info or directions to other threads (I've read a lot but if anyone has come across a step-by-step guide that would be helpful) or a thread with tips on doing it with bumper on or off and that kind of thing i'd really appreciate it. Driving a 2008 edge lim. if anyone has done it what size roll do you recommend to do it in one piece? also, I'm totally new to any customizing or mods and just thought this would be a somewhat forgiving project because I imagine I'd screw it up once or twice but hopefully can just peel and redo with new vinyl I'd like to try it on my own only to save money but if anyone knows someone in the Northern NJ area that does vinyle work like this on the somewhat cheap <200? i'd be interested too.
  3. Whats the best method/material for tinting tail light lenses a bit. How much does this cost from a pro shop?
  4. Ordered the vinyl on eBay and took about 1 hour with tracing out the headlight chrome strip and using the blowdryer to smooth out the edges. Not bad for 16.00 and some time... Let me know what you think...
  5. New owner of white 2011 Edge Sport... and after the first few days, I am loving my new ride. I have already removed all badges except the sport badge... which I painted matte black with Plasti Dip. Wow... amazing stuff. I am considering changing the color of the stock 22" wheels... either wrapping with matte black vinyl or spraying with Plasti Dip... And, re coloring the front grill to match... including the chrome strip that runs along the bottom edge of the hood. Wondering if anybody has done something similar? And if so, do you have any photos? I am happy with the shape and look of the stock wheels... and think that they might look sweet in matte. another idea... keep the gloss black areas of the wheels, and only matte the chrome... thanks to all of you who document and share your work... it is a big help and much appreciated. and if you're interested... here is a photo of my new ride and my newly plasti dipped Sport Badge. thanks again.
