2020 Titanium 20" aluminum wheels with Elite package corrosion
katmus posted a topic in Wheels & Tires
I just got new tires for my 2020 Edge Titanium with the Elite package. It has 20" polished aluminum wheels. I was shocked that the tech who replaced the tires said that my wheels have excessive rust, corrosion, and debris on the hub and wheel mating surfaces. They said this condition can cause the wheel to come loose. I'm horrified. I've never had an issue with wheels before. Is there a known issue with these wheels? Is it covered under warranty? I plan on taking it to a Ford service center, but I'm in Florida and have a lot of driving to do to get back to PA. Thanks for any feedback. -
Hi folks: I think I'm probably going against the current, or against the trend at this time as most people are going with black, stealth, gun powder and similar color/look for rims. But I'd like to replace my 18" grey stock rims with 20" shine/bright chrome wheels. I looked at Tirerack and also at Canadawheels (cheaper shipping but I don't seem to find a spoke pattern I like (very few options available for 20" chrome). I also looked at Detroit wheel and tire but they sell refurbished/reworked/repaired wheels (anyone has experience buying from Detroit wheel and tire?). Is there any other place I should look to find 20" chrome wheels for my 2011 Edge SEL? Any suggestions or directions are appreciated in advance.

Hey guys, new here but wanted to see if anyone else is having the same issues I am having. My wheels have less than 60K miles but are starting to peel. I wanted to see if anyone else is/has experienced this issue and if so what is the best way to correct this issue. I know I am way past warranty so reaching out to Ford is not even a thought. I really appreciate the help.

Hi there, I'm wondering if somebody can clear up some confusion for me and perhaps educate me a bit. We have a 2008 Ford Edge which is in mint condition that we intend on keeping for quite some time, it has very low kilometres and has been babied from day one. We need a new set of tires and I don't want to fork out 1400 bucks to put them on the old, somewhat questionable-looking original 'chrome plastic' rims. I would love to put a set of original (not OEM) Ford Edge Sport rims on this vehicle and this is where the confusion begins. The Sport rims that I'm looking at are from the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Ford Edges (I've attached a photo of a 2012 Ford Edge Sport with the exact same rims I want). I understand that our 2008 Ford edge has a 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern. This is the exact same bolt pattern that the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Ford Edges have. The offset on our 2008 Ford Edge is 35 - 40. But -- the offset on the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Ford Edge is 39 - 44 -- different than our 2008. I've tried and tried to digest all this and make sense out of all the info I can find on the net but it's just not happening. Royally confused. So to make a long story short, can I put these gorgeous 2012 rims on our older 2008 Ford Edge? Will they work? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

I have a 2014 Ford Edge SEL AWD, UX paint code. I'm looking into getting the chrome grill wrapped with 3M Deep black matte vinyl wrap as well as having the stock rims powder coated black. I'm just looking to see what is out there for modifications that are along those lines. Thanks

Winter ST Driving - Purchase new tires and wheels or just tires?
JEB_Derby posted a topic in Wheels & Tires
I have a 2019 ST with stock tires Summer PZero 265/40ZR21 (105Y). With winter coming, I have the following dilemma: Replace with all weather tires? Purchase winter tires and switch out the tires every six months? Purchase a new set of wheel rims and fit with winter tires? Stick with Pirelli? Pros and Cons would be appreciated. Thanks- 2 replies

Hey everyone! I have a question... hope someone has the answer.. lol. I have a 2016 Edge Titanium with stock 20” rims. I’ve found a nice set of RTX Black 20” rims I’d like to buy but the offset is different. After some investigating, the OEM rims are a 52.5mm offset and the rims I’m looking to purchase are 35mm. Does anyone know if the difference in offset will be a problem? Or do I need to buy spacers or something? any help would be appreciated! thanks!

Hi all, I realize this is very subjective but I only need two tires as my Discoverer CTS are doing really well... I bought my 2011 Edge LTD AWD with 62K miles on it and it had near new Cooper CTS tires. I've got 98K miles now and one of the front tires is wearing unevenly. It's likely due to a bad tie rod end. I liked the Coopers but they don't make them any more. The latest (I think) is the CS5 Ultra. All my other tires are looking great with the rears looking only slightly worn. They are getting very good tread wear. That said, I only want to buy two tires for now but concerned with mix and match performance - especially on an AWD vehicle. My gas mileage is averaging 21.2 mpg which is down from 23.4 when I bought it back in 2016. I am in the NE US so wet/snow performance needs to be good (the CTS were fine). I hope to get the road noise lower too. Has anyone been driving on Cooper tires? If so which ones? Any other recommendations are appreciated. Thanks for any insights. Moderator: This was mistakenly posted in brakes and suspension topic but I don't know how to remove it from there. My apologies.

For Sale - 4 Ford Edge Sport 21" Rims & Tires. These are 2016 factory Ford rims with factory Pirelli Scorpion tires on them. Tire size is 265/40 R21. Ford TPMS sensors are installed in the rims. A matched factory set. Excellent condition. I bought these as a spare set for our 2016 Ford Edge Sport, but have never used them. The tread depths of the tires varies from 6/32nds to 9/32nds. New tread depth for these tires is listed by Pirelli as 12/32nds. There are two curb marks that I have included pictures of. You can buy these rims used from Detroit Wheel & Tire for $350 per wheel, the tires are $220 each (new), and the TPMS sensors are ~$50. Add mounting, balancing and you are well over $2k. $1,250. Located in central Ohio. Will drive to the edges of the state to meet. Prefer not to ship. Thanks - Doug

Ok fellow edge owners, I am coming up empty here, so maybe someone has found a solution. I have a 2010 Edge SEL and I changed the wheels on it and the new ones do not have TPMS sensors, so I have the obvious warning lights, and message. I can simply press reset and it goes away, for a little while anyway, but it does come back at least 2 times during my commute each way. I have FORSCAN and the ELM which I have used on other fords to disable this warning, but it is not an option for the 10 edge. for those of you familiar with forscan is there somewhere in the ABD that I can edit this? I also have a tuner on it SCT Livewire but it also does not have anything for the TPMS, but if anyone has a custom tune for that unit and you would like to send it to me I would be grateful. Thank you for any help you all can provide!!!!!

Hey guys. New to The forum, and a new edge owner. I've been looking through this forum for days and can't really find a straight answer. Right now I have 18 /8 wheels and I'm looking to go to a 20 /8.5.. apparently my factory rims have a 52 mm offset?! The best rim I could find to suit me as a 40 mm offset. To me this seems like a huge difference. after doing the math I figure my wheels are going to extend an extra three quarters of an inch. Has anyone done this? I don't want them to stick out too far, and I can't find any pictures in here that says what offset they used. I also don't want to put any extra wear and tear on parts or change my ride too awful much. Any opinions, or pictures, would be greatly appreciated!! According to tire rack, and discount tire, they should fit just fine.

Removed from my wife's 2015 Edge Sport. The tires are worn (See photos) but in decent shape. One wheel has a minor scuff (see photo) but it not noticeable more than a few inches away. I got a quote to fix for $120 but decided to go a different route. Located in South Florida, THEY CAN BE SHIPPED Via Greyhound Package express, I drop them at the Fort Lauderdale Depot and you pick them up a few days alter at your local bus station, and its reasonably priced. They have been off the car for about two months and I have put them on Craigs list and Ebay. Due to the recent storm I cannot submit a photo with todays date as they are packed in my garage and difficult to get to. I AM A MOTIVATED SELLER, asking $1000 but taking REASONABLE offers. Selling 4 stock 18 rims for $180 plus actual shipping from Washington state. These rims are aluminum with permanent plastic chrome cover. $500 each at my local dealer. They have 7,000 miles on them, never been curbed. I will consider selling them individually for $50 each plus actual shipping if I have enough individual offers before one person wants all four.

My wife hit a curb and cracked a wheel on a 2008 Ford Edge Limited. I found someone with takeoff wheels from a '07 that appear to be the same design and everything. He is unsure of the size (He needs to get them out of the garage and it's buried in snow). Is there any chance of a different wheel bolt pattern between the 2007 and 2008 Edges? From what I can tell, all were 5 x 4.5". Can you tell me if I might be wrong?

Hello, I recently purchased a 2014 Ford Edge, SEL with 17,000 miles on it. I recently started to hear an intermittent squeak/chirping noise from the front end while driving slowly (10-20mph). It seems to come on a bit more when I accelerate then disappears above 20 mph. Seems to do it after vehicle has warmed up. Car does not pull to either side, and sound seems to go away went brakes are applied, but maybe only because it is slowing down. Brakes appear good Could the CV joint, wheel bearings, etc. be already out with so few miles? Any zerk or lube joints I could hit in this area? Thank you for your time!

235 60 18 like new winter tires on 2007-2010 Edge OEM aluminium rims
Cruisin posted a topic in Classifieds
Came off a 2010 Ford Edge Rims are in perfect shape with no curb rash, no dents, no bends, no repairs. The rims have the Form factory TPMS sensors in them which work perfectly. There are no issues at all with these rims. Winter tires are in perfect shape with maybe 1000 km's on them, more likely about 600 km's from Feb to April this year. I bought them new in Feb and had them put on but didn't drive much. They're basically in new condition and worked perfectly with no plugs, no patches, no scalloping, no issues at all. All balanced, all center caps are there, all hold air perfectly, there are no issues what so ever with these tires or rims. Selling them as I sold the Edge last month and I kept them as they're perfect but they won't fit on my car pictures taken on June 3rd Located in Stillwater lake by Tantallon in Nova Scotia Canada bolt pattern 5 x 114.3 center bore 70.6 offset 35 -
Just curious, has anyone put on the H&R wheel spacers to add a few extra inches to their width? Was really more curious to see what it looks like..
