  1. Hi all, I realize this is very subjective but I only need two tires as my Discoverer CTS are doing really well... I bought my 2011 Edge LTD AWD with 62K miles on it and it had near new Cooper CTS tires. I've got 98K miles now and one of the front tires is wearing unevenly. It's likely due to a bad tie rod end. I liked the Coopers but they don't make them any more. The latest (I think) is the CS5 Ultra. All my other tires are looking great with the rears looking only slightly worn. They are getting very good tread wear. That said, I only want to buy two tires for now but concerned with mix and match performance - especially on an AWD vehicle. My gas mileage is averaging 21.2 mpg which is down from 23.4 when I bought it back in 2016. I am in the NE US so wet/snow performance needs to be good (the CTS were fine). I hope to get the road noise lower too. Has anyone been driving on Cooper tires? If so which ones? Any other recommendations are appreciated. Thanks for any insights. Moderator: This was mistakenly posted in brakes and suspension topic but I don't know how to remove it from there. My apologies.

  3. For Sale - 4 Ford Edge Sport 21" Rims & Tires. These are 2016 factory Ford rims with factory Pirelli Scorpion tires on them. Tire size is 265/40 R21. Ford TPMS sensors are installed in the rims. A matched factory set. Excellent condition. I bought these as a spare set for our 2016 Ford Edge Sport, but have never used them. The tread depths of the tires varies from 6/32nds to 9/32nds. New tread depth for these tires is listed by Pirelli as 12/32nds. There are two curb marks that I have included pictures of. You can buy these rims used from Detroit Wheel & Tire for $350 per wheel, the tires are $220 each (new), and the TPMS sensors are ~$50. Add mounting, balancing and you are well over $2k. $1,250. Located in central Ohio. Will drive to the edges of the state to meet. Prefer not to ship. Thanks - Doug

    TPMS Warning

Ok fellow edge owners, I am coming up empty here, so maybe someone has found a solution. I have a 2010 Edge SEL and I changed the wheels on it and the new ones do not have TPMS sensors, so I have the obvious warning lights, and message. I can simply press reset and it goes away, for a little while anyway, but it does come back at least 2 times during my commute each way. I have FORSCAN and the ELM which I have used on other fords to disable this warning, but it is not an option for the 10 edge. for those of you familiar with forscan is there somewhere in the ABD that I can edit this? I also have a tuner on it SCT Livewire but it also does not have anything for the TPMS, but if anyone has a custom tune for that unit and you would like to send it to me I would be grateful. Thank you for any help you all can provide!!!!!

    20's on a 2016

Hey guys. New to The forum, and a new edge owner. I've been looking through this forum for days and can't really find a straight answer. Right now I have 18 /8 wheels and I'm looking to go to a 20 /8.5.. apparently my factory rims have a 52 mm offset?! The best rim I could find to suit me as a 40 mm offset. To me this seems like a huge difference. after doing the math I figure my wheels are going to extend an extra three quarters of an inch. Has anyone done this? I don't want them to stick out too far, and I can't find any pictures in here that says what offset they used. I also don't want to put any extra wear and tear on parts or change my ride too awful much. Any opinions, or pictures, would be greatly appreciated!! According to tire rack, and discount tire, they should fit just fine.
  6. Removed from my wife's 2015 Edge Sport. The tires are worn (See photos) but in decent shape. One wheel has a minor scuff (see photo) but it not noticeable more than a few inches away. I got a quote to fix for $120 but decided to go a different route. Located in South Florida, THEY CAN BE SHIPPED Via Greyhound Package express, I drop them at the Fort Lauderdale Depot and you pick them up a few days alter at your local bus station, and its reasonably priced. They have been off the car for about two months and I have put them on Craigs list and Ebay. Due to the recent storm I cannot submit a photo with todays date as they are packed in my garage and difficult to get to. I AM A MOTIVATED SELLER, asking $1000 but taking REASONABLE offers. 2014 SEL 18” chrome wheels

Selling 4 stock 18 rims for $180 plus actual shipping from Washington state. These rims are aluminum with permanent plastic chrome cover. $500 each at my local dealer. They have 7,000 miles on them, never been curbed. I will consider selling them individually for $50 each plus actual shipping if I have enough individual offers before one person wants all four.

    2007 vs 2008 wheels

My wife hit a curb and cracked a wheel on a 2008 Ford Edge Limited. I found someone with takeoff wheels from a '07 that appear to be the same design and everything. He is unsure of the size (He needs to get them out of the garage and it's buried in snow). Is there any chance of a different wheel bolt pattern between the 2007 and 2008 Edges? From what I can tell, all were 5 x 4.5". Can you tell me if I might be wrong?

  10. Hello, I recently purchased a 2014 Ford Edge, SEL with 17,000 miles on it. I recently started to hear an intermittent squeak/chirping noise from the front end while driving slowly (10-20mph). It seems to come on a bit more when I accelerate then disappears above 20 mph. Seems to do it after vehicle has warmed up. Car does not pull to either side, and sound seems to go away went brakes are applied, but maybe only because it is slowing down. Brakes appear good Could the CV joint, wheel bearings, etc. be already out with so few miles? Any zerk or lube joints I could hit in this area? Thank you for your time!
  11. Came off a 2010 Ford Edge Rims are in perfect shape with no curb rash, no dents, no bends, no repairs. The rims have the Form factory TPMS sensors in them which work perfectly. There are no issues at all with these rims. Winter tires are in perfect shape with maybe 1000 km's on them, more likely about 600 km's from Feb to April this year. I bought them new in Feb and had them put on but didn't drive much. They're basically in new condition and worked perfectly with no plugs, no patches, no scalloping, no issues at all. All balanced, all center caps are there, all hold air perfectly, there are no issues what so ever with these tires or rims. Selling them as I sold the Edge last month and I kept them as they're perfect but they won't fit on my car pictures taken on June 3rd Located in Stillwater lake by Tantallon in Nova Scotia Canada bolt pattern 5 x 114.3 center bore 70.6 offset 35

20" Scraped Wheel Lease Turn in Question

My husband scraped the heck out of my front passenger wheel and it's due to be inspected for turn in soon. This looks to be a common problem with these wheels and I'm wondering what I'm going to get dinged during inspection so I source an alternative replacement or just swallow the cost. I saw the guidelines and clearly the scrape is much bigger than allowed. Has anyone dealt with this issue & can you tell me what the outcome was?
  20. Anyone know if this will work? I originally ordered +40mm TSW Donington's, but now I am rethinking it quickly before it's too late to find something like it in a +30. I believe factory 20's are +35? Thanks in advance

    Ford Edge Wheels

I have a 2008 Ford Edge with 18" facrory wheels. I know they are 5x114.3 or 5x4.5 rims but wondering what other Ford rims will fit on the Edge? I was looking for some factory 5 spoke like the 500 has but they appear to be a 7" rim not an 8. I also like the black police explorer rims but have a hard time finding any of those. Any help would be appreciated thanks
  22. I have 4 2012 Ford Edge 18" chrome wheels for sale. They are in great condition - no scratches or curb rash. Just a little dirty. The original tires are on them now, with some tread left but not much. I would say maybe another 5-10k miles at most. Would like to sell them as a set, but open to individual wheels if people need just one. $350 for the set; $100 individual wheel. I am in Cortland, NY area, so if you need the tire shipped that will be extra.
  23. I have three damaged 20 inch chrome clad wheels. It is much less expensive to buy new aftermarket wheels. I plan to buy wheels/tires this spring and then put winter tires on the original wheels next fall. How have you handled the TPS system if you have aftermarket wheels on your car. I can find TPS monitors everywhere but it is not clear what it takes to fit on aftermarket wheels with the Ford system. I would like to buy the wheels and TPS items and then take them to the tire store. Save much money that way.

    Nankang Sp-5 Tires

I have a 2013 Edge Sport and I am in need of new tires. Long story short, I bought the Edge 6 months ago and the dealer said multiple times the tires had at least 50% tread left and there was nothing to worry about. On my last car I bought from a dealership, I had to buy new tires within 6 months so I made sure they rechecked these tires. I should have paid closer attention. I went back to the dealership a week later complaining of noise and they said the tires are worn and cupped and that they recommend I replace them. They would not do anything for me and said they weren't going to stick any more money into this car and since it is used, they weren't required to do anything. I logged a complaint to the Better Business Bureau but that was a joke and nothing was ever done about it. Now 6 months later, there is a tear in the front tire from wear and I need new tires immediately. I get the a 27% discount (out of 30%) on Progressive Snapshot so it wasn't because of my driving. Does anyone have the Nankang Sp-5 tires and their experience? I am just looking for a budget all-season tire in 265/40/22. I don't really want to drop another $1,000 on this car right now with a baby due in 2 days! Or let me know another tire that I should look into. Thanks,
  25. Was going to use these as a winter set, but just bought tires for my rims currently on. These tires have less than 100 miles on them and include TPMS sensors, no road or curb rash. Also they have Lincoln logo center caps and not the Ford ones. Asking 1400 as the tires are around $200 each TMPS sensors are over $50 each and I'm sure Ford wants over $300 per wheel.
