Got a 2013 SEL with the appearance package. Love it!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Seriously considering painting the body matte black. Thoughts? Yes/No???

Looks good, congrats on the new ride! Re the whole matte exterior thing, it's been a fad for a few years and is just overplayed by now IMO, I'd pass.

I hear what you're saying, thanks for the input. It's pretty rare where I am. Don't see it very often.

 

One thing I am going to do is get black emblem overlays, and remove the "EDGE" and "SEL" badges, for a more clean look.

The SEL Appearance Package looks slick. I wish they offered something like that with the Limited options as well.

If you're insistent on matte black, use Scotchprint 1080 film to do it instead of a total repaint on a brand new car.

Buy the Sport front lower valance and have it painted blue.

Congrats on your Edge, don't like the wheels, I am more of a chrome guy, your wheels draws me away from the total look of the car, but thats just me, as for the matte black, the Edge is not a resto rod, custom hot rod, rat rod etc. that you might see a vintage car shows, Barrette Jackson.... would not add any appeal to the over all look.

Why does the stereo/hvac controls look different than other pics ive seen? Also, the instrument cluster looks like the one from the sport trim

Keep it as it is in my opinion, you got a fairly unique color and spec, don't ruin it with paint or vinyl (at least not yet!)

 

As said above, the app pack has body color grille for a reason, to change it defeats the point
