pakus35 Report post Posted October 21, 2012 I tried programming a factory installed remote start so that it would not kill the engine when the door was opened and that all seemed to go okay but now the car will not remote start. I get the one honk to confirm it received the signal then it honks 4 times and does not start. I have been reading on the forums and see that this is for the tach but I can't figure out how to program the tach. Not even sure how it got unprogrammed as it was working before I went to bank 2 option 7 to turn that option off. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

gary712 Report post Posted July 28, 2015 ford remote start on the edge is programmed for no tach to program key on foot on brake hold button till 3 beeps. foot off brake push button 1 time 4 beeps push button again 5 beeps now touch brake on n off 1 beep look at LED on harness push remote start fob 1 time n LED will go on. turn off key all done Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
