Logman3585 Report post Posted January 8, 2014 My wife and I are looking to upgrade our 2008 Edge SEL awd to a newer model. We just started looking and don't have a specific year in mind but probably in the 2011-2013 range. What are the major issues to be on the lookout for? I know our model had the ptu seal issues and am wanting to know what to look for on the newer models as I haven't kept up to date on the newer models. Thanks for all the help! Drive XR7 Report post Posted January 10, 2014 We have a '13 Edge Limited Ecoboost. Only issue I've had is there is occasionally a rattle from the Vista roof in cold weather. I'm told this is a known issue that Ford will fix. The car has 12k on it now and has averaged about 26mpg mixed. It's been a great car so far. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
fishx65 Report post Posted January 11, 2014 I went from a 2010 to a 2011 Edge and it seems like a totally different vehicle. The build quality is much more solid on the 2011+. I also drive a 2013 MKX. All of them have been trouble free so far and I just turned 40,000 on the 11 Edge. I really like the softer ride of the MKX compared to the Edge.
