Now that I have my new edge I need to tow my waverunner. Where can I go to get a hitch for this model? Also I want it to look as clean as possible.

Any advice?

Just read up on Magnetic edge post. Hope the realease something soon I wanna tow before the summer!

You could always get the factory hitch for a SEL or Titanium and trim the rear lower valance. That would be the cleanest look.

Is the hitch out for the 2015 SEL or titanium?

I don't see it on the Ford Accessories site yet. Maybe try Hidden Hitch or Uhaul?

The dealer parts department would be able to order you one.

It looks like some aftermarket hitches are hitting the market, but none for the Sport yet. It hopefully shouldn't be too long until there's an option that fits the Sport.

Called my local hitch place and they said Curt is working on one for the Sport. Should be out in 30 days or so.

Please be soon!! Do you also have a sport Jason?

Not yet. It's on it's way to the dealer.

Curt now has a model that works with the Sport, but the tubing shows under the bumper. I want something hidden similar to the OEM setup.

Pretty sure there is a Curt hitch that will work with the sport. Look at their site, find the model #, and then find a local place that installs curt hitches.

Says "all but sport"

Actually it was the etrailer site that showed one from Curt and in the QA section it said verified to fit Sport. I took that part # and emailed curt with no response.

I checked with Hidden Hitch this week. They said it's still with the engineers and they're still testing, no updated eta. Check back in a month or two.

Any updates on the Sport hitch front? I remember someone on here was going to have their dealer try to install the OEM hitch with the Sport bumper. Was just looking for any updates.

I've been investigating this for my Titanium and finding some unsettling info. The factory part (crossrail and receiver) lists at 600+. With my dealer discount, it comes in around $475, way too rich. Plus have learned the factory mount cuts thru the facia pieces so they have to be modified or replaced - both the painted skin and the grey lower piece.

Also learned if you have the toe-kick gate, the sensor bar and the connector box is different for the trailer hitch option, meaning another $125 in parts to make that work.

I've looked at the Curt aftermarket unit and the cross tube hangs below the facia. I think they did this since there isn't much clearance between the exhaust and the inner edges of the facia. Probably going to be very difficult to get a hidden crossbar of sufficient strength in there to weld the receiver to.

We may have to put up with either higher total mod price or visible crossbar.

Has anyone installed an aftermarket unit to confirm the toe-kick sensor works as it should?

Paul

Spoke to Curt Mfg today regarding hitches for our vehicles. Not a big fan of the exposed tube version they've come out with. They said they do not have a more concealed hitch in the plans - but that they are working on a hitch for the Sport version. No ETA date. They have had a Sport model in their shop and measured but still working on it.

Maybe it will fit my Titanium and be a little more hidden - I can only hope
