10" wide wheels

Recommended Posts

I have a 2013 Sport that I am getting 20" wheels, I found a set but they only come in 20x10 with a 38mm offset. Has anyone run 10" wide wheels? I would run a 265 or 275 width tire most likely.

I have it saved because he's the only guy I've seen on here that's documented his findings. I found the tire size interesting. I'm doing the same set up come tax season. Always had a hard time finding it.

Yeah its definitely a wide tire for this vehicle. If I go with the 10" wheel I'm probably going with 275 not 295. It's AWD but I don't want to make the tires much wider than the 265s for snow traction.

Just an update. I tried to order the 10" wheels with a 38mm offset and was told they would not work. I figured out the dimensions and it would stick out of the wheel well about 0.75". A 10" wheel will need an offset of 44mm to be flush.

I am no wheel fitment expert but my research has led me to the following. The factory sport wheel us 22x9 with a 44mm offset from what I've found. That means 2.8" front space and 6.2" backspace. The 10" wheel with 44mm offset has a 3.3" front space and 6.7 backspace. It looks like there is plenty of room behind the wheel away from the suspension but it will stick out 0.5" farther than stock. For this reason I didn't get them and just got new tires for now.
